Ooh. Good pick. Very good gamble at this point. Honestly, I say gamble but is he a gamble? I see a guy thats either gonna be a top line player or a 3C with some deficiencies that will need to adjust his game if it doesnt pan out. Very good pick.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have a very robust prospect pool; we have a combination of skill and size at most positions. One area we feel could improve in both grit and finesse is at left defense and our selection today is intended to address both. Therefore, it is with great pride that the Blue Jackets select, from Yaroslavl of the KHL, defenseman Dmitri Simashev.

The NYR @le_sean are on the clock

Yes, f*** ! You guys are knocking it out of the park with the good picks.

And here I was hoping he'd be available at NYI's 2nd round pick. Damn.
I had two players side by side on my list. I had them both available at my selection which made me go back and forth...

I don't have a pick until like the late 3rd now, so I figured this one would piss people off more than the other guy.

Yeah, he's a really good player. If he's there at Montreal's 2nd, I hope we take him. I know. I know. Too many LDs, but this kid is really good & will take a couple of years anyway. You just never know.

''Possessing a nice blend of puck skills, shooting skills and grit, Gauthier is perfectly suited to playing a classic North American north-south game. The former 1st overall pick in the QMJHL is enjoying a nice upward development curve and is expected to keep growing into a top 6 role in the NHL''

@KevSkillz4 is next, I'm PMing him.
