They never should have put it in Canada back in December. They never should’ve put it on Canada now in august. They deserve this.
I have a slight feeling no one else wants in this summer.

I think it woudlve crushed in buffalo. Especially if they tied in with the chiclets cup.
Possibly but in reality Buffalo's previous tournaments had a lot of Canadian attendance. And we don't know if Buffalo wanted it.

Probably should have just let last year's tournament expire

Morgan was conjecturing if the TED got built, between ASU (with the extra Coyotes facilities) and TED, it could become an option for national and maybe even international tournaments? Any chance for World Juniors at some point? Not sure how many arenas are required for that kind of thing. That would a wow moment.

Yes. This is a very likely thing that would occur. Same with a Frozen 4.

They've already committed to pursuing the Frozen Four within two years of the TED opening, IIRC. World Juniors will be a much bigger reach.

So 5 team usa players coached by Kris Draper with Little Ceasers. Kris is drector of scouting dor the Wings. No works uts for those kids i guess otherwise wouldn’t there be a potential conflict and the Wings should be forfeiting picks?

When you look at him out there he doesn't look short at all. If he's considered a "Short" player, he's the tallest short player I've seen. Maybe its the wingspan.

Watching the us on TSN… the announcers were suggesting Cooley “has to be taller” ..they kept saying no way he is onlyn5 10.. .. I thought he looked 5 10 from my perspective
Really? Watching a player on TV you can tell how tall he is?

It’s because of the freakish reach. And also the fact that he’s 5’10.5”

That’s right. He has the craziest wingspan to height ratio at the combine. Kid is an orangutan.

Something else that needs to be pointed out about Connor Bedard's WJC is that this is NOT his draft-year WJC. This is still his D-1 WJC. And the Pats didn't make the playoffs. So this kid hasn't played since early April. And he's not a drafted player, so he didn't attend a development camp. With a 10% capacity crowd, after a four month layoff, you can't tell me this tournament didn't feel more like a pre-season schedule in Regina than the real-deal WJC.

All that's to say, I can't wait to see this kid that the real WJC, when he's right in the thick of the WHL season, and this tournament is actually relevant, with all the eyes, and all the stakes.
