honestly this may be like a draft in 89/90 and you just take all the high skilled russians that everyone else passes over and 4 years from now you have something.

This. Top 4 in this Draft is amazing so missing out on that would be utterly underwhelming when we still have a chance at getting very good odds on that by finising 30th or below.
 
Carlsson has definitely stepped up in the last few games again. I'm just so not used to seeing a freaking teenager skate circles and dangle around men in the SHL. Getting back on the scoresheet as well! I'm just really hoping the coaching team makes him work on his legs in the gym more. They're still a little too noodle.

He's been improving massively on his defensive end as well lately and is showing signs of indeed being a center. I just wished they weren't so scared of putting teenagers in the middle in SHL.

Montreal could be one. What would be the ask besides Fantilli. I'm so stuck on ripping off teams, so I would say Slafkovsky.
Initially I was thinking Anaheim with McTavish and Philly with Gauthier. That's alot! I was wondering if people here would take less? That's why I posted it. That and believe that even though Bedard is way better, Fantilli is more of an Armstrong type player .
 
Really very impressed every time I watch Carson Rehkopf. I like Hunter Brzustewicz, also. And Colby Barlow is impressive, obviously. But relative to rankings, I like Rehkopf a lot and think he’s generally quite underrated. He’s easily going to be in my first round.

We need blueliners. This draft is supposedly weak in them. I don’t think that’s true. It’s weak in the top 8 but I think there are some really underrated D late in the 1st and early in the 2nd.

McKenzie’s Mid-Season Poll:

27. Dragicevic
33. Strbak
44. Brzustewicz
62. Molendyk

I’d have Dragicevic around 12-15 spots higher. Strabak 10-12 spots higher. Brzustewicz at least 15 spots higher. And Molendyk maybe as many as 40 spots higher.

I’ve liked the little I’ve seen from Bonk. Need to watch him and Akey more.

But the point is, I think we can get a great blueline prospect if we trade Chychrun for a package that includes a ‘23 1st. And we can likely get another great blueline prospect with our own 2nd.

As coveted as Brandt Clarke is, doesn't Dragicevic seem just as special?
