Yeah, no way Smith drops past 5th...Montreal would take him in a heartbeat, I would believe. Although, I have full belief that he's destined for CBJ or SJS...I don't think he gets to 5.

Speculation that Philly wants to move up, so Montreal is going to have options, but you'd have to think that they would take Michkov themselves, depending on how the interview goes.

BA is going to take their guy no matter what, so if Smith did drop to #6, no way BA takes him...BA is going to come out w/his guys that they want. Proved it last year w/Cooley. They'll do it again and take Leonard or Dvorsky at #6.

I think the chances are actually decent Benson is there at 12th. And with recent quotes from Plandowski about it being the size of the fight in the dog and not the size of the dog in the fight, I think we’re open to Benson at that spot.
Think chihuahua scaring the hell out of a German shepherd.

I think there is a good chance Bensen is there at 12.
I don’t think Smith will be there at 6.

Pretty high on Leonard but Dvorsky is creeping up.

I don’t like bensons size but seems like a steal at 12.

Would love to get Leonard and Dvorsky but that’s not going to happen. Looking forward to weds.

I have all 4 names in my top 10. If we walk out of the draft with two of those we should be extremely happy as a fanbase.

There is a real possibility that Benson drops to us if we want to pick him at #12

after the big 5 go,
6 - Coyotes - Leonard or Dvorsky
7 - Philly - Reinbacher
8 - Washington - Leonard
9 - Detroit - Moore
10 - St. Louis - Danielson
11 - Vancouver - Willander
12 - Coyotes - Benson

Everyone thinks Vancouver is taking Willander, so the big Q's is who will Washington take and who will St. Louis take.

I would like this but I have to wonder if the things we hear about Vancouver are just smoke screens?

Who do you take if these guys are there at 6?

Smith
Leonard
Dvorsky
1.Bedard
2.Fantilli
3.Carlsson
4.Benson
5.Smith
6.Leonard
7.Dvorsky

I think there is a good chance Bensen is there at 12.
I do too. And I’m REALLY hopeful we’d take him if he is.

Leonard, Dvorsky, Willander, bensen, Yager, Reinbacher.
I have to guess they’re planning on one of Leonard/Dvorsky/Reinbacher at 6 and one of Willander/Benson/Yager at 12. And I’m extremely excited about that.

I believe McKenzie’s top 8 are 100% going in the top 8 and the only thing up for debate is the order. That’s just my opinion.

It sounds like if Willander is there for Vancouver, they’re taking him. Even over Benson. So they don’t seem to be a threat at 11th (unless Willander is gone - not likely as he was 20th on the McKenzie poll).

St. Louis will not take a winger. So Benson is safe there. I’d be more worried about them talking Willander which would mean Vancouver could take Benson.

So I think it really comes down to Detroit. I think they’re the only real threat to take Benson.

I think if Washington doesn’t move up for Michkov and he is not on the table ; .I think they go Benson

pure speculation on my part.. I am also thinking Philly doesn’t go D either.. I think they go Leonardo/ Dvorsky.

Even if Philly takes whoever we don't out of Leonard/Dvorsky...no way Washington picks Benson, they'll go with something else.

Detroit I heard is all over Oliver Moore and we know Yzerman isn't going to take another small player in Benson when he already has Raymond & Kasper, and St. Louis is presumed to take what they feel is the best C prospect.

I'd be more worried about another team trading up to take Benson

Well we can always hope… we do have the capital to move up ourselves.. unless BA is thinking of moving from the second into the later first round ..in any case .. it will be very interesting and I will be glued t the tv
