How good is this draft? Colby Barlow was just named Captain of the Owen Sound Attack as a 17 year old draft eligible. Kid is 6’2, 200lbs, skates like the wind (just gallops like a horse), he’s coming off of a 35g in 66gp rookie season (including 5g in 7gp in the playoffs). Dude had 7 game winners in the regular season and averaged over three shots per game. Until he got into the playoffs where he averaged FIVE shots per game.

And this kid is ranked FIFTEENTH on Bob’s preliminary list.

We need another mid-round 1st NOW

Check his birth certificate though. He's actually 23.

Reactions: Arizonatah Coyetis
Craig's List: Sale a surprise second behind Bedard
No Leonard?!?

Seeing Stramel, Smith, Wood, and Halttunen 15-18th on this list and Barlow, Smith, Wood and Halttunen in that same range on the McKenzie poll, makes me want that Ottawa pick bad.

What ever you do, please don't put this on the main board. The Sens trolls be wanting Chychrun and Crouse for just their 1st. Anyways, no guarantees that the pick will be in that range. I do wonder if the Melnyk sisters will put pressure on Dorion to improve the Sens before they sell off the franchise.

So now we don't have to win the lottery to get Fantilli...
He’s usually listed at 3rd. The McKenzie poll was interesting in that it actually factored in the KHL contract issue. I think Michkov is EASILY the 2nd best prospect as of now. Probably closer to Bedard than Fantilli, I think. But man oh man he scares the crap out of me. To the point where I’d probably take Fantilli right now.

A lot will change, though. Nobody expected Slafkovsky and Nemec to go top two last year.

I have it

Bedard
Fantilli
Yager
Michkov

Michkov at four entirely only because of being Russian and the contract. He’s the second best player in this draft. He’s a tier above Fantilli

Jesus he looks like a 35yo mechanic

Dvorsky could be in the 4-6 mix too. 6'1 200lb and a June birthday.

Yep but he will need to produce and impress on the big stage games in order to do so. My guess is some team is going to luck out and get him in that 7-10 range because of it. Probably DET because Yzerman things.

Preparing to wrap my head around burning a 1st on a goalie and convincing myself he’s Knight and not Visentin.
Anson Thornton had a good game last bight in Barrie. Lost but only gave up 2. Some good stops to keep team in it.
