F****** Pheasants!
Have to wonder if those people ever saw Lindros.
I am staunchly in favor of taking Leonard at 6...
...if Michkov is already gone.

I don't think it's a minority opinion honestly. There is a very real risk with Michkov when it comes to the Coyotes.2023 NHL Draft Mock 1.0: Connor Bedard, Adam Fantilli, Leo Carlsson On Top - FloHockey
1. Chicago Blackhawks: Connor Bedard; 2. Anaheim Ducks; Adam Fantilli; 3. Columbus Blue Jackets: Leo Carlsson; 4. San Jose Sharks: Will Smith.www.flohockey.tv
Chris Peters has us taking Leonard over Michkov....Im probably in the minority here that is ok with this.
Trade down then? Someone would pay a lot if this scenario unfolds and he is still exposed for the 6th pick! Washington could offer Chesley and McMichael, StL has 3 1sts...I don't think it's a minority opinion honestly. There is a very real risk with Michkov when it comes to the Coyotes.
Don't disagree. Take Leonard.2023 NHL Draft Mock 1.0: Connor Bedard, Adam Fantilli, Leo Carlsson On Top - FloHockey

Trading down isn't a good idea when they already have a pick at 12.Trade down then? Someone would pay a lot if this scenario unfolds and he is still exposed for the 6th pick! Washington could offer Chesley and McMichael, StL has 3 1sts...
I disagree. Moving back 2 spots because Washington wants Michkov badly and willing to give up Chesley and 40th would be worth it. Leonard, Dvorsky, or Benson would still be there.Trading down isn't a good idea when they already have a pick at 12.
I think the tiers in this draft go:
1-2 (Bedard, Fantilli)
3-6 (Carlsson, Michkov, Smith, Leonard)
7-12 (Benson, Dvorsky, interchangeable names).
Dropping out of the second tier moves you into the less exciting third tier. Just take the guy you love at 6. You're still getting a great player no matter what, with a pick coming up shortly after. If anything, trade 12 to move back.
The likelihood of them giving up Chesley to move up two spots is slim to none.I disagree. Moving back 2 spots because Washington wants Michkov badly and willing to give up Chesley and 40th would be worth it. Leonard, Dvorsky, or Benson would still be there.
You mean the same odds of Michkov slipping to #6?The likelihood of them giving up Chesley to move up two spots is slim to none.
Correct. I think he’s drafted by SJYou mean the same odds of Michkov slipping to #6?
...am I'm not convinced that Reinbacher is that much better than Chesley (to somewhat change the subject).Correct. I think he’s drafted by SJ
I wouldn’t draft Reinbacher at 12. But that’s just me. Haha...am I'm not convinced that Reinbacher is that much better than Chesley (to somewhat change the subject).
...and so many mock drafts have us picking him 6th.I wouldn’t draft Reinbacher at 12. But that’s just me. Haha
I’m sure they do. They’re way more experienced in this crap than I am. I’m just a jackass who makes videos for a living. Haha...and so many mock drafts have us picking him 6th.
That’s because so many people just copy everyone else’s lists in my opinion. And they hope their favourite team who picks below us get a better player....and so many mock drafts have us picking him 6th.
Talent wise they say Michkov is almost at the level of Bedard who is said to be a generational talent, so why in hell would you trade down if a player of this talent falls in your lap? His timetable to come over fits the Coyote rebuild perfectly.I disagree. Moving back 2 spots because Washington wants Michkov badly and willing to give up Chesley and 40th would be worth it. Yea too rich for me too. I'd counter with #6 in '23 and their choice of any two to three 2nds over the next 3 years (Still can't get over that we have 4 second round picks in each of the next two drafts after this year's, that's wild.)I think it would cost you #6 in '23 and 1st rounder in '24 to move up those 2 spots...which is what I would ask for...obviously that would be too rich for me...but that is what they would ask for.
Who do you covet in that #4 slot? What do we think it would take for us to move up to 4 from San Jose? With our pick surplus, I'd definitely be inquiring as GMBA.
Personally, I have Michkov as the #2 prospect in this draft. As mentioned earlier in the thread, his timeline for arrival vibes well with ours, and for those reasons, that's who I'd be after.Who do you covet in that #4 slot?
I also have MM at 2 OA.Personally, I have Michkov as the #2 prospect in this draft. As mentioned earlier in the thread, his timeline for arrival vibes well with ours, and for those reasons, that's who I'd be after.
That said, I'm content to stay at 6 if we can't get up to 4, and then I'd take Leonard. But if we've got a shot to go get MM, have to do our due diligence.
Something tells me BA won't take him even if he falls to us. I think he has his sights on Leonard and Dvorsky.I also have MM at 2 OA.
I think the there's a good chance that we can get him at 6 OA.
