Prospect Info: 2023 Draft Thread (Yotes picking #6 & #12)

Yeah, did discuss that a while back (maybe a couple weeks?) as it was mentioned in a Slovakian article we posted a translated version of. This is encouraging to me as a big Strbak fan. Did something more recent come out that you can share? If he’s elaborated or even just mentioned a second time, that would be interesting to read if you have a link.

Yeah, I didn't notice that post. There was a new article few days ago, where he mentioned that he talked with most of NHL teams but Arizona showed the biggest interest and they had a lot of conversations. Then, he talked about his season, next season in NCAA (Michigan State University) and things like that.

Speaking of Slovak defenders, Arizona is allegedly interested in Patrik Koch (26). He's currently our best defenceman at the World Championship. Defense-first type of player, very physical.

I am fine with 1 D as part of our 3 picks. Frankly, Streak makes more sense at 38 than Reinbacher at 6.

In a draft this deep with forwards, if we get two D in the 3 picks we have, it will feel wasted to me. Would rather just take BPA at 6 and go upside F at 12.

Hello guys, I started to watch prospects after the Draft Lottery and here is my list. List is not final, rather first impressions.
The list consist of 32 names, it's not the best 32, it's just the fact I watched 32 players. Players at 6 and 12 not my favorites, just valuation.
I find players like Will Smith and Leonard will face hard times to transit to NHL, I don't get that love for Honzek and find his skillset as limited. Also think Dvorsky is not progressing though we saw him many years at WJC. After this first look I am really intrigued with Wood, think he is a long project but he is very interesting option. Also liked Sale, Perreault and Reinbacher. Moore and Barlow - mixed emotions, but mostly positive.

Two of my absolute favorites, James Malatesta and Matthew Seminoff tonight.

Malatesta off to a great start:


^ two of the hardest working, best motor prospects in the CHL.

I wanted Seminoff in the 2nd. Haha. He went in the 6th. Shows what Inknow. But Dallas drafts better than anyone and they liked him so….
