Let’s Go Panthers. For the next two weeks I am a MTkachuck fan.

Team USA didn’t have a legit challenge until the gold medal game. I still like Leonard and like Moore a little bit more from this tournament. Still not that high on Smith. I like Perreault but I don’t take him before 17.

I was pretty high on Stenberg to start the year but cooled because he wasn’t that great in J20. But during this tournament and at the Hlinka he showed a lot of talent. I think he’s back in the 1st round discussion solidly. Edstrom was also very impressive but still think he’s an early 2nd round guy.
Man if the wings walk away with both Stenberg and Edstrom. Party time.

Consider USA supper line + Moore are familiar with each other and 4 of them projected to be top 15 , still they were not better than Sweden first line who is average second round. OT goal was kinda lucky , besides Sweden just killed Canada 2 times

This is a good point. US guys are products of their great linemates with the already strong NTDP line chemistries.

Prashanth just made a cool tool to visualize how a players draft stock has changed.

THAT is the tool I wish we had in previous drafts. Thanks for posting that.

A name that's interesting to me is Cameron Allen. Prior to the season he was talked about as a real deal top 10 pick, best OHL defenseman in over a decade. However, his draft year is worse than his D-1 by a bit. What happened?

Top 10, yes.

Best OHL defenseman in a decade? I don’t think so.

I forget which article it was, but there was definitely talk about him being the best OHL defenseman prospect since Doughty somewhere.

Also, the OHL hasn't really produced many top tier quality defenders in some time eh?

At his size and with his offensive game I would doubt it.

This Parekh kid next year though? I like him a lot.

I'm getting Wennberg vibes from Stenberg.

Picture this, win the lotto and get Bedard, trade up for 11 with 17 and a 2nd or too and get moore. Have larkin, kasper, moore down the middle with Bedard, Raymond, burgers, etc on the wings with mo and Simon on d with cossa in net. 😳

Or...get this...

Win the lotto for Bedard, trade back for an Eric Lindros to Philadelphia type of haul.

We pick Carlsson or Fantilli at #2, get Troy Terry, Mason McTavish and Jamie Drysdale and a 1st in 2024 or 25 from Anaheim.

Then we're a cup contender from 2025 on.

Win #1... trade to Arizona who win #2.

#1 + Chiarot (so they stay above the floor) for #2 + Keller + Crouse + Moser

Honestly, don't hate it. We both have been on record for leaning towards Fantilli than bedard (at least I think so?). I'd rather get Zegras in this deal and then flip him to San Jose after confirming what Chicago will pick (hopefully not Carlsson, but Mitchkov would obviously be okay if the word is he will come to the states..) and include the adds to get that pick from SJ.

SJ
Zegras
1st (NYI or 24 BOS/DET)
one or two of the seconds, dealers choice
Add Chiarot

Det
SJ #4 1st
Eklund? or nothing

DET would have #2, #4 (presuming two of Fantilli/Carlsson/Mitchkov), Eklund, McTavish, Drysdale, 2024 1st.

DET would have lost the #1, Chiarot, "Zegras", two 2023 2nds, 2023 NYI or 2024 BOS/DET 1st.

I think it would be an obvious win and your taking advantage of a new gm at SJ. Would probably still have to add but I would think Zegras's trade value is still astronomical.

Eh, just spitballin' here.

Dalibor Dvorsky is my guy for the Wings at 9th. He fits the bill perfectly. Competitive, plays with an edge, high skill, complete game. My question I had about him is can he dominate games with his skill (I had only seen him in the Allsvenskan) and boy he answered it. It's going to take him some time to translate that skill up levels but I believe he can do it. If you like a guy like Kasper or Leonard (Hi Ogee) you'd love Dvorsky.

Remember last draft, when McKenzie said Wright should be second and everyone was like cannot believe it. I will not be surprised if Benson is available for Red Wings, who knows what will happen
