I don't think I've liked any of the dmen I've watched this year. Especially this Cameron Allen kid that's high on McKenzies list. Did not like what I saw there. Most of the dmen I do like I like as second round picks.

Allen will be a late 1st at this point, IMO.

I can see Bonk starting to move up lists.( Never seen him play)

Like most years I just don't know a ton about international players. I'm super ignorant, never seen them play, etc, it's all hear-say and stat watching.

I do catch some USHL/OHL/WHL/NCAA games, not nightly or anything but I watch stats, mocks, pick guys out and watch them during games, etc.

One guy that looks like everything we wanted Zadina to be is this Andrew Cristall. Shifty, good with the puck with a nice shot. He's just a guy that's raised my eyebrows so far and is projected usually to go lower in the first round. Only knock I see really is his size.

I've heard some people speculate that Yager or Dvorsky could be available towards the back of the top 10.. that could be interesting.

I like Yager. I think he's the kind of guy that at worst ends up a very solid 3C. Dvorsky seems boom or bust.

Yager has always been one of my fav nonobvious players in this draft. I am not sure he is an NHL center but I have always liked him in the games I have watched. Strikes me as a slider if teams don't buy him as a center. I honestly don't have any opinion on Dvorsky and don't feel comfortable commenting on someone I haven't really watched.

A lot of what I like about Dvorsky is what I liked about Filip Mesar's skill game. I don't think he's as scrappy as Mesar but the shot and offensive creativity are there on a bigger frame.

I'm not sure if he's a center at the NHL level but a scoring winger that can feast on the powerplay? I think that's in the cards.

I’ve heard he’s very skilled but people have some compete questions. I’ve only seen him in international tournaments for Slovakia, and I have seen no issues with him in that particular setting.

What about this guy for the Wings first pick? Right shot defenseman, with nice skills.

he's definitely got hands. but how does he do when reaves or mcdavid are coming at him? I am sure his speed is good but does he have the hockey sense?

Truly asking, because I have no idea. It say she is a defenseman, so when I see handles like his in this one clip, I think Makar, only because of handles.

I don’t think there are any defenseman in this draft I would want in the top 15 ( except maybe Gulyayev)
I don't even know about Gulyayev. From what (little) I've seen he's not good in his own end.

Thoughts on Musty? Seems like the kind of hard working winger Stevie would like. Also seems like the heir apparent if we trade Bert, but I'm not super educated on these things.

I'm not sure they'll be drafting in the top 15. Anyway, here is HockeyProspect.com's latest Top 32 Draft Prospects:

Carlsson at number 2, Sale down at 15, Stenberg at 30.

Draft stock rising: Dower-Nilsson. Draft stock falling: Stenberg.

Some very preliminary tracking results of top draft-eligible forwards playing in the J20 Nationell (5 games tracked each). Noah Dower Nilsson's gaudy point totals are not a fluke, leads the pack in expected primary points. Meanwhile, Otto Stenberg has struggled.

Always look forward to their list. I see they somewhat agree with me on the defenseman in this draft not being up there. Interesting to have Carlsson at 2, but I can see that. Love seeing Sale in the middle of the first round, he is my ideal target for us. Stenberg has been a mixed bag from what I've heard. Great in international play but very pedestrian in J20 play.

I still think we have a good chance of picking between 12 to 18.

Noah Dower-Nilsson and Eduard Sale are the most intriguing to me in that range. I'd like to know why Stramel is dropping in the rankings here. He's always looked pretty decent to me. Kind of like a poor man's version of Cutter Gauthier.

I struggle to get excited for NDN in the middle of the 1st. Watching the Team Sweden games at both the Hlinka and the Five Nations left me distinctly more impressed with Stenberg. But even then, Stenberg plays a little bit of a selfish game imo, so I'm not sure he's Stevie Y material. I would be pretty happy with Sale, based on what I've watched of him so far.

Stramel is getting knocked for playing on a crappy Wisconsin team and not putting up points. If the Wings snag him in mid first, I could get excited for it.

The HP list is also the lowest I've seen Benson. For some reason, I've gravitated towards him as a player and I would be thrilled to snag him in the teens if the Wings got the chance.

Also, holy crap, this draft is awesome. Just looking at the kids in the teens, I would be happy with Benson, Sale, Leonard and Oliver Moore. Basically, if the Wings are picking anywhere 20 and above, they are going to get a solid building block for this roster.
