Very subjective.

I would say if you want to step up to the plate, point out to the left field bleachers, and call your shot. Then swing from the boots….

Wood, Perrault or Benson are pure upside picks at 9.

But, Musty or Gulyayev would be the equivalent at 17.
I would say Benson and Smith at 9 and Sale at 17.

I dont know nearly as much about prospects as you all do, though.

At 9 it's Wood.If he improve his first step and I believe he will , up to first l ine center
Believe he was like 5'6 a few years back once he catches up and figures his skating he'll be fine and I agree will be a 1st line forward. Definitely would be my first choice at 9 and I'd be looking to move up from 17 and going for a moore

Need to get some guys with huge upside I dont want the save pick and guy ends up being an nhler but bottom 6 role

I don’t think there are any “safe bottom 6” guys in this top 10, my dude.

Did anybody else watch the the game last night? Zellweger went#34 and Stankoven #47. I would be happy with 2 guys like that at #9 and #17.

I would use a 6th/7th on Milic (Seattle) as well as Michael Simpson (Peterborough).

Simpson is unbelievably clutch. Ice water in that kids veins. I'm biased being a petes fan but there's no doubt we're out of the memorial cup if we didn't have Simpson. Check out his save in the first 5 minutes. Theodore style glove save. Absolutely beautiful.

Both worth a shot with a late round pick imo.

Yep. I live in Peterborough right now. The town is buzzing.

Low key wish we took Ohtmann at 15 instead of Cossa. (He went the very next pick to the NYR.)

He's drafted the big guys on D. Some skill to help Larkin?
I mean I get what you’re saying. But I don’t think Yzerman has drafted a single defenseman like Zellweger since he’s been here. And I would be ok with someone like Benson in the first, but I think we are most likely going to look to add some size up front with at least one of our first rounders.

Agree. Perhaps I should of said it would be nice to pick up guys like Stankoven in the 2nd and guys like Point in the 3rd.

Moore , Danielson?

Not going to happen, but our 9+17 +2024 our first for #3, so we could have Leo
I would’t sleep on Moore’s upside.
Best skater in the class, elite shot and elite compete levels.

Untapped offensive upside possibilities too.
Moore scored 109 points on the 2nd line/ 2nd PP.

Moore outproduced Larkin offensively in his USNTDP draft year. Larkin was also playing 2nd line centre behind Eichel that year. So a fair comparison.

Would Moore have scored 180+ points on that stacked top line like Smith did ? Probably not.
But 150+ points… I believe he could have.
And if that were the case, he would be in the top 5 conversation (given his skating and shot).

I whoud not complain if Danielson or Moore will be ours at 9, but they are not first line players

The one goalie who should be available 4th or later to target is Slukynsky. A little on the small size (Central Scouting has him 6'1.25") but not undersized. Dominated in high school, was solid at the Hlinka, and, while not playing 2 full games, stopped 50 for 50 on the USNTDP.

Listened to The Athletic Hockey podcast and Pronman said people in the league think But and Simashev would be top 8/10/12 picks if they were playing in the CHL as opposed to Russia.

Thought that was interesting and noteworthy.
