There are still a lot of adventures in the defensive zone, I think they are worried that he is going to have a goal-costing mistake without giving enough thought to his offense creating positives that exceed the defensive mistakes.

They just don't have enough offensive talent up front and they have somebody that can be a big difference maker creating offense on the back-end.

NHL coaches by-in-large are very risk averse.

I understand all that.. but they have taken risk adverse to an absurd extreme.. You have give to get.. let Clarke get his reps in before the playoffs.. he's a difference maker obviously.. and will be like a Fiala and hopefully like the FIala we have tonite

Their roster looks good to me. I think they are absorbing Lindholm - he prob changed the dynamic.. thats what i always worry about with deadline trades... I think they will figure it out

I dont know what the coaches see in JAD.. he's not big, he's not fast, he's not good IQ, he hits a bit, but not alot. Why not give Fagemo a look if you cant find it in your heart to play Kaliyev.. Really JAD over Kaliyev is a joke in and of itself.

I don’t think they have the experience to go far. Their one playoff appearance recently was in the bubble.

Yea they’re very good, but that wasn’t expected. I think they need to upgrade on guys like Garland and Hoglander by getting some size up front. Maybe a guy like Jordon Greenway.

I am perfectly happy where the Kings are in the standings, WC1 keeps you away from Edmonton. I think the Kings have a much better chance of doing damage in the central bracket. Edmonton just owns us, Vegas is going to be tough when they inevitably get everyone back for the playoffs and Vancouver has been the best team in the league on home ice.

Just keep winning and losing enough to stay in the WC spot that crosses over to the central.
