They won't get much for him, but if you have such little faith in a scorer that you put checkers in scoring line roles when injuries open up, then just do the kid a solid and let him go elsewhere for a chance.

It's been almost 5 years since he was drafted, he's not a kid anymore, in the modern NHL. I think there are a few teams who would give him a shot and see what he can do.

Almost 220 pro games and he still struggles on defense. Not sure why simple things get away from him so much . Wherever he ends up , he'll have to prove he can play away from the puck when he's not scoring.

Yeah I don’t think that’s a problem for him. It’s a very legitimate criticism however to think he can’t skate fast enough to score as many goals as his potential indicates. That’s my problem anyway
