or cause Dom's advanced stats models are always trash. no clue why any cares what he thinks

It’s funny, the Rangers scored pretty decent in his model, but we are criticizing it over there thinking it should be lower. The Trouba and Goodrow contracts are really killing us. Panarin as well if he continues this no show in the playoffs.

So this guy has Carlsson, Minty, and Gaucher as making the opening night roster.
Zell and Perrault as NHL ready next season.

If both Carlsson AND Gaucher are ready this season, the roster could end up being kind of fun. Would also make Henrique a bit more expendable.

Zegras - McT - Killer
Vatrano - Carlsson - Terry
Jones - Lundy - Strome
McGinn - Gaucher - Silfverberg

Fowler - LaCombe
Minty - Gudas
Haag - Drysdale

As long as you hold onto Henrique, he slots in as 1st on 2nd LW, or takes some Center time if Carlsson needs to break in a bit at wing.

Yeah…19 year old Gaucher isn’t making the team, especially not to center the 4th line. Groulx can do that.

Well I'll agree it's a long shot but few things...

1) Gaucher is likely a 3/4 C anyways, so why not?
2) Lundy going down now opens 3 and 4 C
3) Cronin has mentioned Gaucher while skipping over others, he's already on the radar. That could simply be because he was a recent 1st rounder but none the less.

Additionally I don't think Lundy was going to block Carlsson making the team. We don't have a good enough 4C that they couldn't be moved or scratched for Lundy or Guacher. If they think Carlsson is ready enough, its not "can he beat out Lundy?", its more "Do we start him at wing or center and push Lundy to the 4th line?".

Lundy going down opens up the roster a bunch I feel. Thats 3-4 spots wide open in the bottom 6. And we have the luxury of a lot of guys who can play center and wing.

Oh man that sucks for Lundy. He might not have a spot come December, it was already somewhat in jeopardy.

Our bottom-6 lacks talent. Lundy will have a spot in the bottom-6, either at center or wing. To have that versatility on the team is a good thing and center depth, especially if Carlsson needs a breather at center position.

Hey, we might have a potential all Swede line: Lundy-Carlsson-Silf. Silf has played with Carlsson for a short minute at the WC's.

Technically none of these four players are on the roster anymore so not sure if it fits in this thread, but yikes.

The chart is "Botched Retrievals and Failed Exits per 60"
