Looks like Lagesson and Meyers up, Gawdin and Zellweger down per AHL transactions
Verbeek is acquiring guys who couldn't quite break into the NHL with their former teams but fit into our current AHL-ish reality. Don't like that they're blocking our own prospects (Zelly), but this season is a lost cause anyway.

Rather have our guys playing competitively in AHL than losing almost every night from here on out.

We'll see what else happens tonight. I like the shuffling so far, we do need the competitiveness throughout the organisation.

He might be the main piece in a ducks trade for a top4 physical right handed D this summer. He is small, and verbeek doesn’t want small. Don’t be shocked guys.
He literally just traded for a guy who's 5'10. I think this is either about the roster limit or this is about giving the Gulls a chance to make a playoff run. Both are reasonable.

He has been quoted as saying “ with the nhl rule changes, smallwr dmen can’t hook anymore and it will be very hard for these types of players to succeed” I’m paraphrasing but this was 100% thoughts he vocalized in an interview

I'm not at all worried about Zellweger's future with the organization. If Verbeek trades him, so be it, but I don't think that quote means it's imminent or likely. Nothing I've seen about the way they've treated Zellweger indicates Verbeek doesn't like him as a player.

If we trade him it will be for someone everyone will be happy about. I would guess. And we’re desperate for a top 4 physical rhd we can add to what we already have in gudas

Anyone not sent down today (if not just as a paper transaction can't be sent down for the rest of the season, which is why Gawdin/Meyers/Zellweger were sent down, doesn't look like Regenda was though, so he'd have to stay up
Also since they appear to not have done this with LaCombe, he will remain on the roster for the season

Don’t they also have to be on Gulls roster today to be playoff eligible?

Verbeek says Olen will spend the rest of the season with the ducks.

And I hope Verbeek moves off of his stance that he wants defensemen playing in their natural shooting positions b/c Zell has been playing RD with Fowler and LaCombe played RD with Vaak last night.

The Future Watch hasn't hit my B&N yet. So sad. But I discovered there's a prospects special edition by THN. I guess it's tradition to want the physical mag instead of getting it digitally.

From the Ducks' link:
Among all NHL clubs ranked in Future Watch, Anaheim is first in five-year average position and also 20-year average position. No NHL team has had more top-10 finishes (13), top-five finishes (10) and top-three finishes (eight) than the Ducks over the past 20 years.

I don't understand why posters want to get rid of our scouting staff.
