Gotta get these guys back healthy, and I don’t want to hear shut them down for the season. They need to play even if it’s only another 15 or so games. Next season is like 6 months away.

We have had maybe like 7 or 8 games with Zegras and Leo in the line up together, it’s ridiculous.

We traded him a few days before the deadline. And you are able to still trade him after the deadline (like we did with Caulfield). I wouldn’t be so sure he isn’t signing here just yet. Nothing has indicated anything either way.

Logically, I think it makes sense for him to sign here. Unlike Thrun, who would have had to compete with Mintyukov, Zellweger, LaCombe, and Vaakanainen for playing time, Colangelo has a pretty clear path to an NHL job on RW. However, since we got betrayed by Judas Schultz, I always assume college seniors are going to opt for free agency. It makes it easier to cope with when they do and a nice surprise when they don't.
