Huge +1 on this.Maybe it's just me but I don't have much faith in any of the forwards in SD actually becoming NHL players. Is Regenda even signed beyond this season?

I think about his only advantage is that he's considered a defensive forward. So I could see a role eventually there.Maybe Gaucher?
and no he isn't.
Because of his age Regenda was a 2 year ELC. They still have control for 5 more.Maybe it's just me but I don't have much faith in any of the forwards in SD actually becoming NHL players. Is Regenda even signed beyond this season?
That'd be an interesting choice. But given we need a shooter and we made a great effort to get him, I'd expect him to be on wing with some good playmakers. I'm not against your idea thoI wonder if the Ducks might try Gauthier at center on the third line next season. It would fill a spot where he gets used to the NHL and they could surround him with vets.

I've like what I've seen with Regenda. And it seems like Verbeek wants to overcook him in San Diego.Maybe it's just me but I don't have much faith in any of the forwards in SD actually becoming NHL players. Is Regenda even signed beyond this season?

I'm hoping we can see him get a call-up after the trade deadline to see how he's progressed.
Can't watch tonight but Regenda has points in 10 of his last 11 games, 14 points total.

And it seems like he's a "Verbeek type" to the extent that's a thing. He's a big boy who lives at the net and will mix it up. He can score off the rush, by finding space off the cycle, or by banging away in the crease. I don't know if he has enough overall skill to be an NHLer but it seems like a further look would be a no-brainer.I've like what I've seen with Regenda. I’d personally call him up right after we trade Henrique, unless there is a player coming back in the trade who could theoretically play in Henrique’s spot.Regenda is an RFA this summer and turns 25 early next season. Seems like it's time to call him up and see what you have there
ShockingWhich top pairs have been the best and worst this NHL season?
We identify the NHL teams with top pairs that are dominating and the ones significantly trailing the competition.theathletic.com
Can you guess what pairing is last?
I’ll prob think why did we ever think he could be the main pillar on a teams defense.Man, whenever Fowler retires, we're gonna look back on his career and cringe at the (lack of) quality of his partners and overusage.
Some of us will look back and ask why Murray gave this guy an 8 year deal.Man, whenever Fowler retires, we're gonna look back on his career and cringe at the (lack of) quality of his partners and overusage.
Last season he averaged 24:10 TOI, and that's when he was the only defenseman on the team who belonged anywhere above a bottom pairing. This year the defensive roster took at least a couple steps up in competence and he's averaging... 25:00. 9th in the league among defensemen.Man, whenever Fowler retires, we're gonna look back on his career and cringe at the (lack of) quality of his partners and overusage.

Unless the plan was tank commander, if so bravo to the gms
Good #3
Okay #2
Terrible #1
i said he’s a good 3, anymore than that and he’s going to drop off.He was tank commander on some of the best teams in the NHL in 2016 and 2017 then. I think Cam looks real slow this year and has fallen off considerably but your bit of acting like this is what he's been his whole career is just untrue.
Cam got an 8 year deal after being the ice time leader for a team that made the conference finals. Kesler and Perry declining severely after that was what put the nail in the coffin in our window, but after that season letting Cam go made 0 sense. The bigger crime in 2016 and 2017 was stapling Bieksa to him and not finding him a real partner. The even bigger crime was letting Beauch go and bringing in Bieksa at all.
