Not really a unique observation but one thing I've noticed over the past month or so is how our team just completely crumbles under any pressure - whether it's an aggressive forecheck/PK/man-on-man D or getting hemmed into the zone for just a few seconds too long, we let our opponents seize the momentum. And it's a vicious cycle because as it starts to happen it happens more and more in a game and then from game to game.
While I do think coaching/systems has a role in it, I think the bigger issue is that our roster is completely comprised of players who are either a) not skilled enough or b) not experienced enough. Off of the top of my head, I think Terry (when he's not off his game) and Silfverberg are the only two forwards who consistently play well in high-pressure scenarios, maybe Henrique or even Lundestrom.
As McTavish/Leo/Z get more experience I think it will improve but I also think things like breaking out of our zone will look vastly different as we turn over our roster and bring in some more experienced UFAs.
