I don’t think it would get any funnier than the Flyers trading no one, even adding a useless guy for a 4th, they fall out of the hunt, and Tortorella lets Rocky coach the last handful of games (again).
At this point I’m not sure if I even care if they ever become good again.

I hate the roster, I hate the coaches, I hate the management, I hate the ownership, I hate the media, and I hate 99.999% of the fans. They deserve to be shit for the foreseeable future.

There was no “passing of the torch”… they just scapegoated and got rid of most of the best and most likable players in the span of two years and then frantically added assholes and idiots at every level. Theres no link between the team/players I liked and the current franchise.

So yeah, just let it all burn.

A traded Walker and injured Seeler brings up interesting possibilities for what that defense will look like over the next 2 weeks given who they’re playing.

Flyers are at 94 point pace...

if they play at that pace for the last 19 games they will probably be ~50:50 to make it.

Devils are probably done now. (will need to play at ~120 point pace to get in)...

but Isles, Caps and Pens "only" would need ~102-108-111 point pace to pip the Flyers even if the Flyers play the same as have all year... with a difficult schedule. And ofc only 1/3 would need to do that.

I definitely won't be a fan again until the Bob Clarke regime ends

They're never going to do it, but they should be getting their backup goalie as a throw-in to a Laughton trade. Maybe get Raanta out of CAR along with their #1 this year and a middling forward prospect.

Carolina ain’t doing that. If they’re going to blow their 1st, more likely it’s for a scorer.

Technically if they consistently choose the wrong road, I can’t reasonably express disappointment when they do it again. This is a me problem.

Agreed. At some point, it is on us to ignore Lucy holding the football.

I for one am utterly shocked that this is the route this franchise continues down.
