This idea that he prefers veterans flies in the face of actual experience.

While I dont hate that lineup, Foerster and Andrae should be in for ND and Staal. Also, TK should not be with Laughton and Cates. Maybe I do hate the lineup.

There's a simple reason for the "bag skate" in camp.

Instead of having to monitor and micromanage players over the summer, every player knows the "gauntlet" awaits - fear and competitive pride (I'm not going to be the one who pukes on the ice) encourages them to come to camp in game shape.

Andy Reid did something similar when he took over the Eagles to weed out the players who were less than dedicated.

Seems a problem that he's doing this after a year of his tenure.

At least 3. Maybe 4. Maybe 5. Because they don’t get it and they never will. Neither will you. You show this every time you answer a question that’s not being asked.

There’s no admission or recognition of what the problems even are from anyone in this org. It’s bigger than Chuck Fletcher or Paul Holmgren or Bobby Clarke. They’re collectively lost directly up their own asses. The big decisions make big swings in fate. But the details show you the process.
