My uneducated guess is Sweeney working on a deal with him, while everyone else is getting dealt. lol Hopefully this doesn't fall through for one reason or another.

Im sure he has other irons in the fire, but yea I agree Lindholm would ideal.

The silver lining if nothing pans out this trade deadline is that Sweeney has made it known to both Lindholm and Hanifin (and likely others) that they are wanted in Boston by being serious suitors this trade deadline, could help secure their services in the off season...it's nice to be wanted

I can’t see a deal for Toffoli that I’d like…..assuming the JDB to Pittsburgh stuff is true.

Well….unless they can move Grzelcyk and Forbort for futures to open up enough space and then do a Beecher and another lesser prospect for him…..but given Todfoli’s UFA status, I don’t think I like it.

I think he’ll end up somewhere that has a first or a couple of 2’s to part with.

My worry is Vancouver will go after Toffoli and break up the Pittsburgh, Vancouver, and Boston threeway ... although Vancouver would have to dump some roster player to squeeze in Toffoli
