You are completely entitled to your opinion, but you are also the only one getting defensive here.

This conversation is happening because you used a criticism of Lauzon as a jumping off point to criticize McAvoy.

Again this is fine, but if you want to make an argument you should defend it. It’s off base to accuse someone of getting upset just because they countered the argument you created.
Not really used him as an example that one game doesn’t make someone bad ,I could have used every Bruins defense as an example really in that series. And not sure why saying someone is very good, but not using great is controversial ,very few players I would put in the great category. I think Pasta ,and Marchand are great that would be it for me ,well for know anyway I could put the goalies in that category, Ullmark’s had a great regular season for sure last year. but I usually include having played more games in my great grading.

One game doesn't make someone bad but one game can make someone not great?

Well, that was an exercise in futility.

Bury the guy on the fourth line with absurdly limited minutes. Surprise, a waste of time for all involved.

Whatever one thinks of Merkulov's play, Montgomery's frenzied, chaotic approach to line juggling has become yet another self-inflicted wound.

Even better: Jesper Boqvist. It's his time to shine!

After watching half a season and learning who and what the Bruins need - they like big-assed centers and they got that covered

Steen and Lauko had 11 hits combined and tormented the Lightning defense

Im GM I go after Hanifin

Also to shut up the living in the 70’s crowd pick up the most vicious fighter they can find in North America even if he plays in a beer league in Red Rock Texas.

It’s a freaking joke how many only care about winning a fight- seriously buy a penis enlarger

We get it you want to win a fight more then a game

It’s ridiculous reading this shit over and over

Sweeney brought in the scariest F n dude and sadly he ruined his life and apparently many here

Didn’t expect Dan coming in hot at 8am on the lords day looking for the smoke from the entire Lucic Fight Club.

Yes, I enjoy the bruins winning a fight. But more importantly, I want a team that is a) the aggressor, b) will defend themselves and each other, and c) exploits physicality in the playoffs at a next level

Those are team DNA things, not Peter Worrell things

So how long until montgomery get fired and he goes and wins a cup with another team. Yet fans will keep blaming the coaching every year?

I don’t see many/ if any here requesting goons. Don’t know why it’s continually portrayed this way by the “gentles”. Total hyperbole. I want more Ference Boychuk K.Miller Campbell types in the lineup. Players, not goons, who are more hammer than nail. They shouldn’t be hard to find. Teammates, front office know who each player is. As Brian Boyle mentioned yesterday, he labeled his former teammate Zacha as a “kind soul”. Teams need all types to create a winning environment. Similar to the mid 80’s Nintendo game “ice hockey”, you had fat slow strong heavies, you had fast slim, easy to knock off the puck types, and the medium guys, who weren’t as fast as the skinny’s but not as slow as the chubbers. Always needed all 3 types to win. So we are knuckle draggers because we want some more Ference in this lineup? I’ll own it.

Whether it feels like it or not this team is right there with the Rangers as top team in the East. That means you are a Cup contender. So with that said, what is a realistic expectation of what this team can do at trade deadline? Would Sweeney have the balls to try and offload Ullmark to a western conference team to free up that money? Can DeBrusk be moved? How imaginative will the front office get? Or will it be simply adding a minor piece and see how things go?

Two cents: I don't see major moves. Very surprised if they trade Ullmark in season unless the return is spectacular. Moves of that kind, including 1C, will likely occur this summer. If Jake continues to produce, they'll keep him for the playoffs and address what to do with him prior to free agency.

If Sweeney is smart and has eyes, he will add two bangers to stiffen the spine, one on D, one up front.

I would like to see them trade for someone like Michael McCarron. He has more goals than the entire fourth line, can play center and handle the heavy weights.

I think he’s obviously having some good puck luck this year but I think he’d be cheap at the deadline and should make the bottom six harder to play against.
