Thoughts on a Marchand Coyle C Garland line?
Not sure, but I really think Marchand and Coyle are building chemistry. Earlier this year I thought that was not going so well. Now, I am just looking for the right third piece. To me that guy is Frederic, but we need to add something to the bottom 6 if Frederic is not there. He seems to face a similar dilemma that Coyle previously faced.

The idea of a Rat and Water-bug on the same line excites this fan.

With the Bruins gaining space next year, and being 1st overall in the NHL this season, you'd have to think that 1st in 2025 is really a 2nd. You overpay for Middleton because you get two playoff runs from him, at a very affordable cap hit, and he adds that element of nasty the backend has been missing. Its a lot but look at what you're getting
They could fall a few spots. Pastrnak was drafted 25th overall. Frederic 29th. Poitras 54th. They need to keep the pick unless it’s for a young-ish player who’ll be here long term in a position of need. Middleton isn’t that guy, as much as I feel he’d be a good add. I wouldn’t give more than a 2nd for him.

I thought Wotherspoon and Forbort played well together last night. I believe this works because both of them keep everything very simple, and they complement each other. Whereas, either one of them with Shattenkirk brings a whole different dimension to the pairing in that Shattenkirk tries to play more risky and offensive like we have Mc and Lindholm playing, and we just don’t need that on the third pair. I don’t even like Lindholm playing this way half the time as he’s not as versatile as Mc. There’s times when I think he could make the simple play to Carlo sooner but doesn’t while looking for the offensive maneuver and the delay causes a confusion and turnover, etc. Forbort and Wotherspoon because they don’t want to be like Mc tend to not have as many delays and they just keep the play moving.

Oh man this is bait…

I’ll take another ‘third line player’ who is on track for 70 points
It's not bait its fact, Coyle is not a first line player and it will prove out in the end when it matters. We need help there in a massive way if we have ant realistic shot in the playoffs.

Anyone still want Zadorov? Sort of a big lug. I’ve seen him play better though

Still think PLD has the tools to be a top center . Love to buy low.
I cant see this Bruins brass sticking their nose anywhere near this guy. Even if he was bought out.

And they wouldnt have to stick their nose far, cause something about this guy STINKS. He's on his third team and, while I think everyone needs time to adjust to their new team, his deal is already looking scary.

My thoughts would be to get Brad with a legit first line center rather than another third line player.
What will it take folk to realize Coyle is filling the role just fine...in fact there's mention he could be up for Selke. Ghiesshhhhh.

Everyone is screaming for size and physicality and you want add Garland, with his contract, no thanks.
Everyone?
