That's a night off for the Leafs, so I suppose it's possible PWHL Toronto could draw a League record crowd. Though I'd think the fanbase demographics of the NHL & PWHL teams in TOR are significantly different.

If Minnesota can pull +13K for a single game Toronto can fill the building for a single game. There's a market in southwestern Ontario for women's hockey. Every time there's a rivalry game it's a sell out. Kitchener and Sarnia both sold out. Toronto sold a whole seasons worth of tickets rather quickly so there's a market for it too. Not to mention Montreal is pretty women's hockey crazed and there's enough time for them to make the trip down to Toronto for a game. They wouldn't have put a game in Scotiabank Arena if they thought the crowd would be sparse.

I think this great momentum will carry over or potentially even be greater in year 2 once teams unveil actual team names, logos, etc. Merch sales will go way up and encourage more fan enthusiasm.
