Toronto's Emma Maltais scores a SHG, giving her team a 3-2 lead AND erasing a running penalty per PWHL rules.

Didn't notice, but that's a common ticket sales strategy in minor pro hockey. It looks better on TV/streams for smaller crowds, and it also reduces arena staff headcounts.Did they push all the fans to the one side of the arena which the TV was facing towards? Because when they spanned quickly, those seats were empty.
Yeah. Was moreso insinuating from the sense that this was the franchise's first home game, and there were quite a few empty seats seen, let alone the entire sections not shown on TV.Didn't notice, but that's a common ticket sales strategy in minor pro hockey. No need for insinuation here. Better to speak your mind ... within Board rules.Yeah. Was moreso insinuating from the sense that this was the franchise's first home game, and there were quite a few empty seats seen, let alone the entire sections not shown on TV.
I missed that. I saw her during the intermission when they were interviewing Pascal Daoust, and yes, being that guy, I was like, "Damn...she's really attractive." Then when it came to listening to her colour commentary, she sounded so ditzy, talking like an airhead who had no clue what she was talking about.@TheTotalPackage ... I thought the highlight of Julie Stewart-Brinks' commentary on Friday night came when the PbP announcer mentioned that the PWHL record for highest attendance was about to be broken. The reference was to Minnesota's game tomorrow, but Ms. Stewart-Brinks clearly thought she meant the NYC attendance & she was stammering until it was explained to her.
To be expected, as there's not a huge female talent pool familiar with ice hockey & there wasn't much time for recruitment. I'm inclined to mute most of the men's hockey "on-air talent" so the PWHL broadcast teams seem to me like same-old.Ouch, growing pains for the announcers.
But if you watch on YouTube, you avoid the sponsored ads. That leaves just the self-promoting PWHL spots, which I can mute when they come on.Nice, on Bally’s.
On the other hand, "Oh, no! Bally's!"Nice, on Bally’s.
