Hensley (and her iron pipes) keeping Boston from catching up, while the rest of her team looks confused out there.

Havent seen a game.
What would the caliber of the hockey be comparative to mens/boys hockey?

Midget...Junior A/B? Somewhere in between?

Genuinely curious.

Hensley makes a dramatic glove save @ 0.00 to give PWHL Minnesota the win. MIN 3 - BOS 2 is the final score.

No games tomorrow, PWHL play resumes on Friday. Good night, folks, wherever you are.

Thanks for the response.
I will post the question in there.

Not to be too abrasive I hope, I understand the enthusiasm from people who are emotionally invested in the birth of the league, but if you want to discuss fixtures on a goal by goal basis, I think it would be better if you opened either
- individual game threads
- an ongoing thread for all PWHL game discussions across a certain time frame (week, season?)

It's a bit cumbersome to have to go through step by step discussions about each game on a league news thread.

Thanks for the advice, but ... There is so little traffic on this specific new league topic in this generally ignored forum that I've chosen to keep all of the PWHL chat in one thread. Any other member is more than welcome to generate GDTs or other specific threads. Rebuttals are allowed.

ETA: My main intent with the gameplay commentary is to introduce PWHL players to members & guests unfamiliar with the women's game. Thus my efforts to link player mentions to their Elite Prospects profiles for further reading.

Good game and nice win for Minnesota, tight finish. First look at Heise for me, had a good game but tough competition, solid defensive efforts out of both teams here. Still, MN showed some excellent shooting talent, all 3 goals were perfectly placed shots on quick releases, very impressive IMO.

Hensley, Zumwinkle, Pannek were the stars of the game for MN in my eyes.

It is incredible that these games are on Youtube to be watched for free and replayed whenever you want.

Once the viewership numbers are in at the end of this inaugural season for each of the networks & streaming platforms, I'd expect the other-than-YT media partners to start conversations with the League about eliminating the free YouTube option. So enjoy it while it lasts.
