I'm not sure half of those D will make the final squad. One has to think Mailloux, Struble and Trudeau will be prioritized for minutes. I could see them rotating Struble in and out the way Xhekaj and company did in the NHL last year. There's also whoever gets sent down between Norlinder and the other three with waiver exemption when Matheson is healthy.

Likewise I think there's 5-6 guys in that forward lineup that won't be on the final team. As much as I love rewarding good play, you don't keep AHL deal guys up over future prospects. I can't remember a time when we had this many prospects to deal with. Usually we're complaining the AHL vets we signed aren't good enough or are taking ice time from the one or two prospects we actually have down in the AHL.

According to the logic of some folks here, Davidson needs to be on the top 2 lines in Laval, otherwise he needs to go to the ECHL to further hone his offensive skills and gain confidence.

The 3rd and 4th lines are unworthy roles for hockey players with aspirations of making a team to have. Better to play 40 minutes a game in Trois-Rivieres than 3 minutes on the third line in Laval

We've got PTSD from Leblanc and others having their growth stunted by Lefebvre. It's hard to accept that coaches can actually teach things outside of the top 6, Lefebvre just didn't anything to anyone regardless of where they played.
