Damn Laval leads the AHL with 50 goals scored, unfortunately they have surrendered 57.
Saw the Habs game last night? That's the Rocket in the dzone, they cleaned it up a bit thought. They are way better structurally, can actually get the puck out of their zone and plays as a team on the offense unlike the Habs...

I'm starting to think that Houle would make a better assistant coach than what MSL has right now and I don't like Houle has head-coach. But his team is executing, unlike the Habs.

Laval players are getting prepared to "fit" in MSL "system": Habs surrendered 27 high danger chances against Vegas, which is completely ridiculous. They will fit right in when called up!

Remember when the Rocket had too many players.....Andersson (long term), Maillet and Stephens out. That will be a huge blow to an already bad record.

It's early but it seems like Laval isn't making the playoffs at this point. It isn't a huge deal I guess since Mesar and becks seasons will probably still be going when the AHL playoffs are happening and nobody else really is joining who would get playing time.

FX.

Way too much running around in their end. Time for a couple deals for guys with size who can play defence. Otherwise, they ain’t making it.

I think in both Laval and Montreal, they play man-to-man defense. And that is why they're running around. The other team simply needs to move around and get a cycle going and the D slowly start to lose the guy they're covering and then end up over compensating and that creates an opening.

Some guys are able to play that system. But I think that is what creates the goose chase because they're young and they don't have enough experience to pull it off seamlessly.

Maybe some come from playing a zone defense at the lower level, so this is like them learning something new again.

And I do get that many are learning the pro game, but you shouldn’t be first in GF and near the bottom in the standings. The issue is clear

Forward Gabriel Bourque (lower-body) is week-to-week. He is skating with the team.

Forward Mitchell Stephens (lower-body injury) is day-to-day. He is skating with the team.

Forward Emil Heineman (upper-body) is out indefinitely. He is skating with the team.

Forward Philippe Maillet (upper-body injury) will be out for 1 to 2 weeks. He is not on the road with the team to Rochester and Syracuse.

Hockey can be hazardous to your health!

Anyone know why Davidson was a healthy scratch while Laval played two players called up from TR?

Houle decided to single out someone among all the players playing poorly the last few games.

Sure, single out one of the hard workers, while Kidney, Mysak and Legaré keep playing.

Meanwhile Beaudin sits a lot but has fewer turnovers and much better numbers than Norlinder, AINEC.

Made it last year, but likely won't make it this year.

Laval needed that AHL vet, like Richard who's consistently good in the A.

Also some d, or at least a defensive structure.

Maillet was consitently good in the AHL and KHL. Same thing with Andersson in the AHL.

They both have a higher AHL career PPG than Richard/Belzile.

Scoring is not a problem as they are in the top 3 for GF.

Norlinder and Mailloux are sinking the team defensively. Norlinder was good at camp, but this is easily is worst year since being drafted. He needs a new start.
