Maybe I don't understand the chart but Zellweger has an 81% chance of being an NHLer and a 78% chance of being a star. Not sure what to make of that. Boom or bust?

That essentially means that 81% of past players that had a similar statistical profile to Zellweger (given age, position, league, etc) became NHL players, and 78% of them became stars (by his definition of star). Not totally sure if player size is taken into account, but I would assume it has some weight in the model.

The bottom line is that it’s highly likely that Zellweger is an impact offensive D at the NHL level at some point in the next 5 seasons. I hope we’re really patient with him

Many junior teams are starting training camp this week. It's hockey season again!

So the premise is that these guys are mysteriously under-appreciated and Dionicio is one of them. To me, just based on what I've read (which is all I know about him), he seems mismatched as a defenseman. He maybe ought to be some sort of complimentary winger where his skating and defense won't matter.

I agree, although it would be interesting to see if they can develop his defensive game enough to allow for roster flexibility to use those terrible 11/7 setups from time to time to cover injuries. Is an offensive 6D/4th line winger better than a top 9 winger?

I’m very excited about the future of this ducks defense.

Offensively leaves a bit to be desired. I’m still unsure about how I feel with the players we received during this years draft (after Carlsson of course)
