Oh what are we just going to start protecting people from brain injuries now?

Banning fighting for kids is bad because kids can go to war so fighting is okay they've been fighting for 100 years so it's okay if you're going to fight at 20 you have to fight when you're 15 so it's okay other things cause more brain injuries so brain injuries from fighting are okay banning fighting makes people I don't like happy so I doubt the motives.

I feel like we're probably dialing in on some real tomd reasoning finally.

Banning fighting won't put a stop to it, hence Warren having just been in a fight. It will massively decrease instances of kids fighting for no good reason, and that's a good thing. They'll still stand up for themselves and their teammates when it means more than sitting out a game. Basically a system that not only helps protect from unnecessary head injuries, but also forces them to stop and think about putting their team first.

Here's the fight fwiw

Is that supposed to be a quote from me? Because it isn't. I've no problem though if you respond to things I actually say.

Hopefully, it'll force the refs to be better refs. Should have called a penalty since the puck left the defender for about a second, but the opposing forwards chose to land late hits. If the refs calls a penalty immediately, then Warren wouldn't have to apply his own late hit too.

If the league is gonna ban fighting, then it also needs to do a better job reffing so that players don't have to do the policing.

Ben King making plays lately. Realizing he'll have to perform with no Arshdeep Bains. Nice project power forward so far

Oh boy.
They can go to war but they can't a punch in a hockey game? That seriously makes no sense.
kids can go to war so fighting is okay
Fighting has been in the sport for 100 years, why do the Quebec bureaucrats suddenly think it is "harmful"?
they've been fighting for 100 years so it's okay
RIght, so now these protected teenagers are going to start playing in the SHL, ECHL, AHL, and other pro leagues at 20 and have no idea how to protect themselves against men. They're going to get eaten alive. So be it.

And BTW, in terms of damage to the brain soccer is far worse.
if you're going to fight at 20 you have to fight when you're 15 so it's okay
I'll just end with this..
1. Did the league produce any statistics showing the effects of fighting on the body or brain?
2. Bodychecking/open ice hits/checking against the boards produce significant numbers of concussions and other injuries relative to fighting. Should they be banned as well?
3. Should hitting a soccer ball with your head be banned? It creates far more head injuries than fighting.
4. Should football be banned entirely? There is a whole cottage industry studying brain injuries in the NFL.

The irony is that I don't even like fighting but I rarely see players going in the IR b/c of a fight...unless they break their hand. My prediction is that the Q will rescind the fighting rule within the next 2/3 years.
other things cause more brain injuries so brain injuries from fighting are okay
I believe the Q picked on fighting b/c it was the PC thing to do and it placated the right people.
banning fighting makes people I don't like happy so I doubt the motives

I can see why your post made no sense to me....sad that you found it necessary to paraprhase me out of context rather than just quote me directly. Sadder still that some people actually "liked" your post.

I actually have no issue with banning fighting for juniors.

Like someone else pointed out, if it needs to happen then the fight will still happen. It just takes out stupid staged fights and makes them more likely to only happen when it is really called for.

Literally did that in the post you responded to, so go ahead. You have so many opinions, no need to be shy with them now.
You're right...I do have opinions as any normal intelligent informed person should. I posed many questions in my posts on this subject about all the different sports and no one - including you - have provided any counterarguments. Until you are ready to give me those counterarguments please don't engage with me anymore on this subject. Thanks in advance.

You aren't even claiming ownership over the blatant statements you made. Come on man, that's the least you could do. It's beyond strange to demand counterarguments to things you claim to not even said.

Disingenuous doesn't begin to describe that, it's delusional.
