Trade Rossi + one of the 2023 2nds + protected 2024 1st for Lindholm at 50%
Re-sign Lindholm to 7-8 x $8-$8.5
Trade Foligno for whatever
Sign Gus to $3.5M for multiple years
Sign Addison to 2 x $1.4M
Sign Duhaime to 2 x $1.05M
Sign Shaw + 2 more 4th liners for $2.4M total

I don’t hate it. Would solidify our C issues for awhile. No bonafide 1C but quality for sure.
 
Ahhhh , we are doing nothing like that. We are going hard after Reaves and working diligently on extending Foligno through 2032. After that we will start working in keeping Zucc here with a 5-6 year extension and maybe even look at extending Fluery and Goligoski!!!!’ 7d chess

I'd trade Addison before giving him $1.4m. Save the extra $500k with one of the LD prospects playing on the 3rd pair. Run the paper callup/send down to gain extra cap space.

I like your team, but I'd be very surprised if GMBG traded Foligno. I think the team would lose it's locker room vibe (so important to the GM) if Dumba, Foligno, and (to a lesser extent) Reaves were all gone to start next year.

I felt like I was being generous with the $1.4 anyway. I think Guerin is going to squeeze him. At any rate, I'm willing to give him 1 more go at it, see if there's any improvement/maturity. I don't think we'd get much for him now anyway, so I'm not worried about losing out any value if he stagnates.

Interesting that no one (Duhaime or Addison, mainly) got traded at the draft. Good news, for me. I like both of them, and think they have value for the team.

Despite the hints, I still don't imagine Duhaime moving. Even from look at his agent's perspective, there no way both parties are far off each others valuation.

I would surprised if Addison remains though. For all the talk of "culture", Addison sticks out as a sore thumb, not bc of his character but there has just been touch much back and forth and unhappy spurts to keep him around. And say what you will about BG, he's a guy who's willing to move away players he doesn't like.

It'll be nice to trade for a young forward who's ready for the NHL to compete with Beckman/Walker for a roster spot so we don't have to get another Steel this time around. And use whatever cap space on a cheap gritty defenseman to compete against Merrill.
 
I wonder if Guerin will look at recent buyouts Duchene and Wheeler as short term solutions to inject some offense into this team.
 
I'd take a chance on Duchene depending on how much he costs. Don't really see the point in adding Wheeler.

Well Rossi is the big variable in all of this. If he can play top six center you don't need either. If he can't play top six center you need Duchene more than Wheeler. Of course we don't know if Rossi can play top six center yet. I guess Wheeler comes in if you're not penciling Rossi into that top six center spot and you can't find a better option there than Hartman, but you can get Wheeler to sign for dirt cheap because #oneofus.
 
I don’t see how they make the money work with even their current roster.

$7.3M to sign Gus, Addison, Duhaime, 4RW, and an extra skater.

I guess they could choose to only have a 21 man roster. Not being able to trade Goligoski sucks, wish they had moved him at the TDL when it sounded like there was interest.
