@gaucholoco3 since we have a road back to back coming up you said you think Celebrini will sit for one of them? I dont see a good reason for Celebrini to get any "development days" like Smith. He already just had a break with his injury. I don't think he gets healthy-scratched at any point this season.

It is what grier has said even with the injury it will still be happening.

It's not that Celebrini needs a break from the league, but the league a break from him!

He still plays a pretty reckless game and skates into high traffic areas and absorbs a lot of contact, he's never played against players this big and strong before and at some point he's going to take a nasty hit that will leave him reeling

Between college and the World Juniors he played 43 games last year, there's nothing wrong with slowly acclimating him to the rigors of a full NHL schedule while his body is still developing, in a normal person's life cycle he would be a freshman in college right now, I like the organization being proactive in protecting their investment in his long term health

Shit, since it's November and we're not in last place are we no longer #1 in waiver priority? Luckily we have tons of cap space so we still might have the best chance to grab him

I'd rather have 3 NHL caliber RHD than 2, Fabbro supplanting Rutta is reason enough to claim him outright, who cares about Hasso's money?
I'm not sure Fabbro is better than Rutta. It's also another contract slot which could hurt if we're unable to trade him. There are arguments on both sides.

We're going to be shedding several untradable UFAs at season's end, including Rutta who is a borderline #7 at this point, we'll open up those contract slots soon

I'm comfortable adding Fabbro for free so we can evaluate him in house as we already know what we have in Ferraro, Rutta and Thrun and they are not good
