Musty was a late first too. Ferraro has been much better this year but still he’s not very good,

I think Ferraro is better than people give him credit for and is being asked to play waaay over his head. He’s also gotten better in the second half of the year. I don’t know, the quality of this draft in the spot we’d likely get a pick in + his leadership skills makes me wary.

Honestly, maybe the McCabe trade to Toronto last year? Jake McCabe @ 50% retained (2Mx3), Sam Lafferty and two 5ths for a 1st, 2nd, Joey Anderson and Pavel Gogolev.

Could we get a similar return for Ferraro and Kunin? If so we should do it IMO.

If we do that, then I absolutely do it yeah.

He's a player that is worth more to a contender than he is to a rebuilding team. He's basically Kris Russell or Alec Martinez where he bleeds shot attempts against, but blocks shots and has leadership traits.

If you're a contender and need a 4/5 that can PK and block shots come playoff time, Ferraro is your guy. If you're a rebuilder like SJ, no use holding onto him if you can get a good deal. Can go sign "leaders" for cheap in UFA if you need mentors for young guys (preferably leaders that have been winners before rather than Ferraro who is way too used to losing at this point in his career).

It depends on what the offers are when it comes to Ferraro. The basic idea of getting a 1st for Ferraro is all well and good and should be done if it's that simple. Chances are though with Edmonton and Toronto that it's not that simple. I think a Toronto deal should look something like Samsonov, a 1st, and a 3rd for Ferraro and Kahkonen at 50%. I really have a hard time finding a workable deal with Edmonton that doesn't involve Foegele where we would then flip him for something else like a late 2nd or 3rd.

Toronto deal also likely includes Robertson as well. Would also love to get our hands on Liljegren and let the guy have a legitimate shot at playing a top 4 role. Would prioritize a package to acquire both of those players over their 1st rounder at this point in time.

Reports a couple months ago were Grier wanting a more "talent for talent" type trade for Ferraro than just futures. Not sure if those were right or wrong though as they're from December and not verified or widely discussed anymore.

Also Ferraro is from TO. Leafs have had great success with former Sharks who love Toronto. Jumbo was from TO. Patty lived the Leafs too. Hope these past results help a trade come to fruition

I hope not. I don't think the Sharks need Robertson when they still have Gushchin. I also don't think they need Liljegren either when we still have to deal with Rutta, Emberson, Addison, Burroughs, and Benning. Granted, Liljegren is probably better than most of them but not to the degree that we ought to value him in a trade any. He'd be a guy that I'd bring if Toronto decided to not tender him and we had ways to move out the many that are there in that sort of depth range. The only talent for talent sort of deal that I'd want out of Toronto would be Knies but I don't think Toronto is going to make him available.

I would absolutely take a chance on Ružička. 6'4 220lb center who can skate. Still just 24 years old.

No way that a 24 year old would do drugs

Can't imagine it at all
Seriously, the guy was just having a good time. Insane to post that video to social media but it seems reasonable to assume he was high out of his mind when he did it. If anything he might need a stint in the player assistance program. Typical cheap ass Coyotes move to just immediately terminate the contract like that.

You and I have very different definitions of just having fun.

Let’s let Ruzicka do the work to get better before even thinking about bringing him in.

Never said I consider that fun but I'm not gonna judge a millionaire pro athlete in his early 20s if he does as long as it's not hurting anyone else
