Grier SHOULD be telling teams Granlund is part of our future, or at least that we're nearly guaranteed to get a 2nd round pick for him when he's an expiring contract next deadline so you need to up your offer. It's a good negotiating position. We don't have to trade Granlund.

I will say, it's not a strong market for centers at the deadline, not to mention he's looked pretty good this year so this may be the optimal time to sell high.

Next year's rental market at C looks to be much stronger.

At around 14:30 somehow Frank who again, constantly posts negative stuff about the Sharks, argues that Grier is the second worst GM in the league.

I needed 2 mins to know that I'm never listening to this podcast again. Who are these clowns? I turned it off once the dude was baffled at the Duclair trade. Like, I know it takes "critical thinking" but how could he not understand the idea of upgrading assets?

Grier the second worst GM in the league? I suppose the championship roster he's spent the last year constructing isn't living up to expectations. Never skip critical thinking skills day.

Then again, this is the guy that thought Timo's QO would minimize any offer and got pissy when his co-host suggested otherwise. Guy has a serious vendetta for some reason

Other than the Seattle expansion draft (which he ruined entertainment wise) Frank Seravalli has had terrible sources all the time.

I'm thinking we can get a couple 3rd round picks by moving Duclair, Kahkonen, and Barabanov. This draft drops off big time by the end of the first round so having multiple dart shots in round 3 could be decent. Then again, the sharks are straight awful at drafting in the third round. Maybe use them to trade up into round 2 then lol. We're overdue for a round 2 "steal"

Calls him the 2nd worst GM because they haven't moved more guys to tear it down, but then also laments Grier for only having 1 retained salary spot left because he was moving guys out to try and tear it down... Truly perplexing how that logic flies to an even slightly intelligent follower of the sport.

Grier should be seeing what he can get with Goodrow from NY. Whether it's a pick or one of their young defensemen.

Had this in the ACGM I did this week. Weaponize the cap space now that there projects to be an abundance of it for the first time in a long while.
