Dicking around on NHL 24 franchise mode I drafted Lindstrom 3rd overall in 2024, Logan Hensler (big defensive defenseman) 5th overall in 2025 and Gavin McKenna 1st overall in 2026. Finally won the Cup in 2032 with all three plus Eklund playing big roles. Fully simmed of course.

Hill is a legit goalie, but Jones is just doing his annual "fool everyone into thinking he belongs here" thing.
If I had to bet, I'd say Jones ends the season with a save percentage below .900.

I think Duclair is quite likable and well beloved by the young guys in the room. If people are offering peanuts for him I’d rather sign him for another year and see if he can up his value while providing mentorship and good vibes in a locker room that’s constantly losing.

Relationship was probably soured before Grier even was hired but still clown show stuff. Happy to have had guys like Gregor, Kunin, and Labanc over the years take spots away from legitimate players. Gushchin is next.

I’m still not understanding why you don’t give him an opportunity back in SJ. It is what it is I suppose. Would be nice if Grier could get a decent prospect or a 2nd-3rd rd pick.
I doubt we would get that much for someone so unproven in the NHL and I would be happy with a fourth or fifth round pick. Hope you are right and I am wrong though!
I don't see how you can call someone like Chmelevski a "legitimate player" in comparison to Kunin, Labanc, and Gregor. They all at least have done something in the NHL.
I've seen him far more dejected in-game than most players league wide. Definitely need to stop pushing the "Duclair has SUCH a vibrant personality" that the media also keeps eating up. Ferraro I do see but Duclair has never shown that except smiling when he's doing good. One of the many players that Grier should take scraps for.
