Tarasenko probably would have gotten more if there wasn’t a full NMC. I do think he’s more valued than Mantha.
Sens fans thought they were getting a 1st or Lundell. That entire fanbase lives in a perpetual state of believing this time Lucy won't yank the football away.

Sens fans living in the glory of the EK return, but tank did have them bent over a barrel with his NMC.

Duke should get a 3rd back. I'd be content with that. Anything better is great to me. If he returns a 4th or worse then it's whatever but sort of a bust trading a 5th with Lorentz to get him in the first place. Anybody else, I'll just be happy if something gets done. lol

moverare on waivers could be a worthwhile pickup. we do have an extra contract spot to play with now that Gawanke is gone.

Nice "hockey" trade; Byram for Mittelstadt.

This makes good sense for Colorado; they are deep on defense and need center depth. However, this seems like a puzzling trade from Buffalo's POV. Byram was a hit a few years ago, but he's had injury issues and appears to have stagnated. Mittelstadt's story is the reverse; he had struggles early but has taken off; I can't say I've watched his games, but his stats paint a nice picture.

Perhaps Buffalo is confident that Byram can rebound, but wouldn't Colorado know better? Or they're worried about Mittelstadt's contract demands...

This deal is a microcosm for why good teams stay good and bad teams stay bad. I hate this trade for Buffalo.
I don’t. I don’t think Buffalo is that far off from competing. Took a step back this year but still a ton of nhl-ready players. They don’t need another lotto pick for down the road.

Mittelstadt is arb eligible and in line for a 5-6 year deal for $5-6M AAV this offseason. I can understand why the Sabres wouldn't want to pay that. Byram is a pretty damn good return for a glorified rental tbh.

Mittelstadt will be worth $5-6M easily and can solve Colorado’s persistent 2C problem perfectly. Worst case scenario, they can flip him again. Bryan is cooked, I don’t value him at all.

Something around Campbell, Ceci, and a draft pick for Rutta and Kahkonen would be a good deal for both sides.

I think it is plausible that Kyle Burroughs gets moved; something like Phillipe Myers + picks to Tampa could make sense.

Goodrow to SJ seems possible.
