Gendron has not played for several games. What is the issue, and screw the "he is only 19" narrative. He is a skater and they need skaters.

Gendron not playing again, and it is not back-to-back. Flyers are the anti-development team. At least a half dozen AHL scrubs playing

That's not a situation unique to the Flyers. In looking at most teams, "development" isn't taking place with their AHL clubs as much anymore.

The better young players go directly to the NHL club while developing takes place in Europe, college or junior.

The AHL is now a AAAA league of sorts, with the majority of the guys players who can fill in in case of injury but no longer considered high end prospects; with a handful of exceptions such as Europeans adjusting to North America on each club.

With the number of forward prospects in the Flyers' system, it doesn't seem likely Gendron would be a big priority.

Interesting story in Lehigh Valley 30-year-old goalie Parker Gahagan. Is now in his third full pro season (first two in the ECHL) after playing a handful of games each year as an active duty military officer following his college career at Army (West Point).

Three wins in four games for the Phantoms. Can't help thinking he has to be quite a presence in the locker room as well.

They have the flu going thru that team right now . Attards been out for a couple games Laczynski missed time and who knows who's next . Not saying this is what has happened just heard this from a source .

I’d be curious to know your thoughts on both Cutter and Rizzo.

Gauthier G and A, now 10 points in 8 games.
Bonk and Sotheran are off to solid starts in their D+1 seasons.
Rizzo up to 17 points in 8 games, +13 - and Denver has had a cupcake schedule to start the season.

McLaughlin and Kaplan starting to heat up, both have 7 points in 8 games as sophomores.

Knuble and Wisdom are off to awful starts. Samson struggling as well.

I don’t remember that’s why I am asking. JVR was a shoot first player in college. Different position of course. Just don’t remember much other than that
JVR was a scorer too, but not as strong as Gauthier and didn’t score from distance as much.

Rizzo looks like a good player but it’s early yet to see how he fits in, if at all.

There are a lot of small forwards in the system and TK, Brink, Atkinson and Frost already on the team, with Michkov coming to replace Cam in 2 years. Any of the upcoming smurfs are going to have to fight for a place, given the management’s obsession with ancient Flyer success - and the real need for a balanced lineup with some size.

Rizzo, Barkey, Tuomaala, Desnoyers, Lycksell, Ciernik will have to fight it out.
