According to this little breakdown last night

it seems like he’d be a real good finisher for Johansen. He’s also a real strong defensive winger. With wingers like Nichushkin and Toffoli on either side the Avs can let Johansen cheat as much as he wants on the defensive side of things.

I could totally see Toffoli happening. Shades of the Saad trade, but better.

Yeah, with Lando out we could fit Wilson in and he’s got one year left so we’re not screwed if/when Lando comes back. Plus at 5.1 million it’s a manageable contract, especially if the Caps can retain some.

Because FLA don't have the money to re-up him nor are in a position to retain money. I really don't see a bidding war for him but I could be wrong I guess.

Wilson is a one of a kind beast, no doubt that the demand is high.

Toffoli his cap hit is fairly low and perhaps CGY would retain on top of that, that makes him very valuable.

Guentzel's name has come up a decent bit. Garland is apparently a free asset for anybody who wants him. Toffoli wants out of Calgary, Henrique is always available, DeBrusk potentially from Boston, DeBrincat in Ottawa is gonna be dealt. Konecny in Philly.


Honestly its a pretty long list of wingers. They're always available.


The issue for the Avs is they have to be mindful of next year and the potential for Landy to come back... And quite frankly even this summer unless they're trading a Dman out, they straight up dont have the cap space for a $5-6M winger. Not even close.

Zuccarello is another wing that wouldn't be horrible. Yes, Minnesota but the Avs have traded with them before.

I thought Tyler Toffoli was on a harsh decline like 5 years ago however since that trade to Vancouver he has really been a great player.

He may not be cheap but I’m becoming more and more focused on him as RyJo’s best winger target.
