At some point the other shoe simply has to drop. There's still way too many good players not signed that are supposedly going to be traded if they won't sign. And good players just on the trade block being shopped in general for that matter. And now some decent UFAs that hit the market as well.

Lindholm, Backlund, Hanifin, Zadorov, Helleybuck, Karlsson, Duclair, Pesce, Arvidsson, DeBrincat Konecny/Laughton...

I think teams are just waiting for the free agency stuff to sort out a little before we start seeing some big trades.

Gonna have to get on those phones really fast. This is truly gonna be a frenzy and a lot of time management/prioritization is gonna be needed. Do you really wanna get into a long bidding war for player X or do you just go after player Y who is almost as good.

In the "prospects I used to like" bucket, I wonder what people think of going after Poehling as 4C since he wasn't qualified? Does he just suck now? I think as a 4C for league minimum we could do a lot worse. Wouldn't mind taking a stab at Comtois, either, for a bottom six bruiser type on the wing. Neither is likely to have very many options tomorrow for salary or term, we could probably get them for cheap to fill out the bottom half of the lineup.
