What’s the cost to bring ERod back for the third line? Are we totally giving up on him coming back? JTC is gonna want to be paid for 52 points and frankly I’m fine with him leaving so Bednar doesn’t play him 20 minutes a night.

I’m obsessed with the idea of getting Konecny + Laughton now thanks to Pierce but I have to think we don’t have the assets.

Ehlers would destroy in the Avs system.
Can’t imagine it would be cheap. Not sure a bunch of late 1sts would do it.
If anything the Jets look more competative after dealing PLD for three guys who will help this year. Once they dump Wheeler’s slow butt they make actually feel frisky still next year.

Pretty good deal for both teams IMO. Toffoli is better but was gonna walk. Shara as a replacement and a pick is a solid return.
Still plenty of fish out there though. I still want Backlund. I’d love Laughton too. Konecny would be brilliant but seems far-fetched. Duclair would be fine at a cheap price.
CMac and Joe I think are playing this well. It’s a buyers market and they liquidated Newhook into picks aka straight cash homey. Now they just gotta find the GM with that nervous, save my job energy…

How hellish is the Boston situation after Hall has been off-loaded. Can we tempt them for Debrusk? $4 million for Debrusk next year would be awesome. He would need an extension though as he will be UFA next summer which might be problematic especially if he has another really good year.
But love his ability to score gritty goals…he’s got a real nose for the net and his two-way and possession metrics took a huge jump last year.

It’s fun how the Newhook trade has changed the tenor of our off-season possibilities. On one hand - not great that yet another non-top 10 pick didn’t pan out.

I suppose CMac could be counting on Olausson, Myers, and Foudy to play and pay a lot as regulars, but I am not sure how that is reasonable.
I echo Evan Rawal's thoughts that if Colorado makes the selections for both firsts and the second round picks, it will be very strange.
