Pretty good deal for both teams IMO. Toffoli is better but was gonna walk. Shara as a replacement and a pick is a solid return.

Still plenty of fish out there though. I still want Backlund. I’d love Laughton too. Konecny would be brilliant but seems far-fetched. Duclair would be fine at a cheap price.

CMac and Joe I think are playing this well. It’s a buyers market and they liquidated Newhook into picks aka straight cash homey. Now they just gotta find the GM with that nervous, save my job energy…

Man this team has a lot of work to do lol. I’m excited over both of the trades and all but as of right now we’re losing Compher, Newhook, Erod, Cogliano, Helm/Nieto and Eller from their (already weak) forward depth and the only other piece brought in is RyJo.

They aren’t just a trade and a signing away from completing this forward group. Cmac has a busy week ahead. I wonder if we see something else happen tonight.

They need the turnover in all that lol. They've been used and abused. Cogs & JJ can stay though.

That’s pretty cheap for Toffoli. Doesn’t really fit the speed of the Avs though. Johansen is already not the fastest and I think Toffoli is even slower.

I think that Ehlers might be a another good option for the Avs.

This. When I see a team like LA adding PLD and NJ adding Toffoli it sure doesn't give me confidence.
