Pretty convincing win against the team they will probably have to beat to make the finals. Refs swallowed the whistles late for the Bucks until they started intentionally fouling and Dame couldn't miss which made it look closer than it was. That meaningless Beasley three at the buzzer turned a $10 bet into $430. Jaylen Brown with 26/2/8 on 62/60/100 shooting and just 1 turnover. That's why he's getting paid 303 million, has good chemistry with Porzingis already.

Celtics now 38-35 when they don't make 40% of their threes with Mazzulla as coach. 2-3 this season when one of the starters are out. Most talented team in the league with one of if not the worst coach in the league.

Boston does not get to finals he is done and you can take it to bank.

He shouldn't have been the coach after how hard the playoffs were last year. Almost all of the offense being based around drive and kick isn't going to be as effective when you get deeper into the playoffs and the other really good and talented teams adjust to it.

Coaching doesn't matter as much in the nba as it does other leagues, but it's still important. Look at what Udoka is doing with a Rockets team that went 22-60 last year and only added role players. Has them playing great defense and they are up 23 against the champion Nuggets 8 minutes into the 2nd quarter right now.

The tournament is awesome, every point is important and teams are playing hard until the end because of it. NHL should consider doing something similar. Celtics are through because the Nets won and created a three way tie for first.

I find the format of this in season tournament entirely ridiculous. Using a format where a team has to win by a certain amount so you have superstar players still on the floor in a 25 pt blowout? Wtf are we doing here? I need a rebellion against this tournament. But if last night was the only time where that was really a factor fine. I just don't like the optics of keeping superstar players on the floor in a blowout. Come up with something better than that.

I just don't see the point when the ultimate goal is the NBA title, especially playing starters in blowouts

My OCD has me more intrigued with how they handle the scheduling.

LOL

I mean, how do you schedule the RS when you don’t know who might be playing whom for 2/3 games, while others aren’t even involved.

These guys are competitive and it gives more meaning to early regular season games, the game yesterday felt like a playoff game with how they needed to beat the Bulls by 23 to have a chance of advancing. $500,000 for every player is on the line too. The Celtics have 11 players making 4 million or less and six making 2 million or less. That 500k would be nice for them.

It's not perfect. I think extending it and playing every team at home and on the road would open the standings up more and make point differential a lot less likely to come into play but Tatum, Holiday and White played less minutes than they average last night with only Horford and Pritchard playing more than 1 minute longer than they average. The courts are the worst part of it the tournament.

What I could get behind is the tournament semis/championship replacing the all star game weekend. That will never happen because for some reason NBA players are obsessed with the all star game but ya...

The tournament is clearly inspired by European soccer and... sometimes star European soccer players play Cup matches that end up being blowouts.

But yeah... the tie-breaker rules should probably be examined.
