Is it safe to say yet that Perreault has higher upside than either Kakko or Lafreneire?
Neither is a finished product, and it's a significant step up from the NCAA to the NHL. Maybe he will end up being better, but Kreider wasn't a 30 goal scorer 3 years ago, now he's on his way to his 3rd in a row at age 32.

free speech, so yeah should be safe say speculative things

but Laf and Kakko were dominant amateurs also
and not sure Gabe has a physical game approaching either

glad he's talented and contributing,
hope he just keeps getting all'round better, for a few years, on his way to the pros

I really hope we leave Perreault in college at least another year. Maybe even 2. Better to be over-prepared than under-developed.

Yeah, there's really no reason to park him in the AHL at age 20.

With Othmann, it's a different story because he played junior hockey. You sign them within 2 years or they re-enter the draft. But college players give you more flexibility.

Secondary assist on BC’s first goal and primary assist on their second goal

Also had several good shots/scoring chances and missed a few others including what would have been a tap in but the puck slid under his stick somehow

3rd assist of the night I think. Passed it off his line mate in stride to facilitate the quick attack and resulting goal. Secondary assist

E: currently days unassisted because the centering pass was blocked but almost rolled over the line and a BC lkayrrs poked it over? NHL would give assists for that dunno what NCAA will do

They fixed it. He has the assist.

Last one was definitely more incidental and Smith made a very good play driving to the net, but Perrault did let Smith keep his speed coming across the blue line which pushed back the D and gave him space to make his move

Perreault should stay for one more year and then we can reassess.

Depends on how he grows physically.
he's perfect for Kreider Zibs since they will never be separated

Panarin Pettersson Laffy
Kreider Zibs Perreault
Cuylle Tro Othmann

let me dream

If a players ceiling is Panarin, you take that shit to the bank because it's amazing.
Yeah, had Panarin started his career in the NHL a couple years earlier, we'd likely be talking about will he make the HOF. If that's a guy's upside...yeah.
