Game in hand on the Flyers and Penguins also.

Not really worried about Flyers as someone has to hold that 3rd Metro spot. Flyers are the current better team to have it with more games played. That said, I hate the Flyers much more than WSH or NYI, so it wouldn't hurt my feelings even a little if they lost out the rest of the way.

Win/Lose night. Caps lose, but Isles win. Only good thing is WSH used up their games in hand and we have a game at hand on the Isles.
That's more of a lose/lose, Pens have a better chance at finishing ahead of Det than Wash does considering the Caps schedule

All the teams have hard teams to beat and none of them are playing well enough to have an easy schedule. It is basically a 5 way fight to see who can back their way into the playoffs.

I feel like the Penguins schedule is slightly harder and they have one less game.

PIT:
vs Tampa
at Toronto
vs Detroit
vs Boston
vs Nashville
at Islanders

WSH:
at Carolina
vs Ottawa
at Detroit
at Buffalo
vs Tampa
vs Boston
at Philadelphia

The schedule is irrelevant in every sport late in the season. It’s Fools Gold. Why do people always get lulled by the schedule?

Pitts has four of last six at home and are playing well right now.

Honestly, if Wings can beat Pitt and WSH head to head, I think they make it regardless of what happens elsewhere.

Because everyone is kinda scuffling to the goal line… if they can pick up a two free points on those teams. I think they stay above.

It gets very dicey very quickly for Detroit if they lose to one or both tho, regardless of whatever else happens

The chart has been switched to points.

I’ll run this chart (with bumps) up til close to the end. I’ll keep the positioning, pts %, pts, regulation wins & games remaining updated but keep the schedule / results up.

BUF and NJD have dropped off.

Instead of using bold for DET games, bolded indicates the vs games.

Still think they're in a good spot, I think the Pens will get the third in the Metro, and Was has a tough schedule, Phil is crumbling. Only have to mildly worry about NYI.

pretty funny that Pittsburgh is gonna make the playoffs because all the other teams are terrible, and none of them know how to win a big game

but we are crumbling just as bad, so why are we in a good spot over Philly? You're just thinking like an optimist. Flyers fans are saying the exact same thing about Detroit....

I wouldn't pencil Pitt in. They have a tough schedule and it's not like they've been consistent at any time of the year.

Phi has two wins in their last 10 and have lost 6 in a row including against Chicago, way worse.
