As a Canadian still living in Canada, I would still agree with this no matter which Canadian city you mentioned.Laine's mental health and anxiety issues have been exacerbated by criticism he's received from fans and media in the markets of Winnipeg and Columbus. With all due respect and sensitivity to his condition, going to MONTREAL sounds like a really, really bad decision.
With Drai and McDavid getting new contracts, Bouchard getting a massive new deal soon, and Darnell Nurse’s deal anchoring them down I’m not sure EDM will be in any position to retaliate anytime soon.Nice piece of business by STL but going forward I’d lock up any young talent they wanna keep before RFA if I was them

Nice depth moves for the Blues that help them now.
Armstrong stole 2 of Oilers young players and then gave the Bowman a tip.
Doesn't seem like there is much animosity.
isn`t this already the case?I just hope this doesn't become Alex Kovalev all over again and becomes a huge pain in the arse, whenever he plays us.
Montreal addresses a need and IMO, he doesn't have as much pressure here...he fills a top 6 role on a team looking to make a big step next year.
What’s a material breach?
He stole a 2x4 and some roofing nails! What’s a material breach?
We're seeing more and more teams do this with their young players. They're getting their paydays ahead of schedule in anticipation of their better play being yet to come.
But Swayman hasn't EARNED his big contract yet! We're seeing more and more teams do this with their young players. They're getting their paydays ahead of schedule in anticipation of their better play being yet to come.
Risky but rewarding if the player lives up to their potential AND the cap keeps going up.
Really? Didn't it take them this long to sign the contract? Isn't that precisely what everyone is complaining about with Swayman?Seattle showing how you treat a cornerstone of the future.
Not to mention he’s in Sweeney’s dog house for that “I love being a Boston Bruin” crap. F him manBut Swayman hasn't EARNED his big contract yet!
