Hard to keep a lead when you have five shots in 30 minutes

Panthers suck the life out of a game

Hate me all you want but I love the Panthers.

I respect the Panthers. They're talented but not excessively so, certainly not in the same league in terms of pure ability as peak Tampa, Colorado or Vegas. It's more about good tactics, grit and an insane work rate. They dominate the neutral zone, block shots all day long, and just keep skating. They're completely focused on their goal and know exactly how they intend to achieve it, and that's a credit to Maurice. Managerially they worked out where they were lacking when they were a Presidents' Trophy-winning team but a playoff flop, made the necessary changes, and are reaping the rewards.

Too many players on the roster that I don't particularly care for to ever say I 'love' them, but they're a damn good hockey team, that's for sure.

I’m not saying the Bruins were above everyone else but has any team played the Panthers better than they did?
Apart from game one of the Stanley Cup Finals, the Bruins had the highest of highs and lowest of lows against the Panthers. They just couldn't finish their chances or play consistently.

the lowly boston bruins are going to have the same amount of stanley cups as the f***ing panthers over the past 50 years and the panthers have only existed for 30

I don't think so. Monty's no fool and I think he had the Bruins doing the best they could to negate the Panthers' strengths. Boston at least made them break a sweat, more so than Tampa, probably for longer than the Rangers even though NY had some moments when they were more completely on top. Oilers aren't looking good. One good game when they couldn't cash in, now paying for it already and the Cats are dominating.

So yeah I think the Bs did as well as anybody, but really it's best of a bad bunch. Realistically no-one has gotten close.
