This is really, really strange.
Part of me thinks he's getting moved to the Oilers. Some TSN reporter was tweeting about how Holland was working the phones and had everything except their first rounder on the table to try and turn things around, and that one of the things they could be targeting is guys with toughness/cup winning experience/ a positive locker room presence. Perry fits all that.

Absolutely. Very possible...

It's just the wording that kind of has me a bit baffled, lol.

The Leafs have now added Klingburg to their LTIR list joining Matt Murray. A lot of speculation that he will be out for the year. The Leafs have found a way to erase their biggest mistakes and improve their team.

The twitter rando saying, "Oh, hey, Klingburg has missed three practices in a row! Do you think that means anything??? Eh?" 48 hours before the guy gets LTIR'd is pretty damned funny.

Apparently, the Leafs employ social media flaks to provide cover for bullshit roster transactions. Probably paid via a Dangle autograph.

I'm resistant because naming an offensive defenseman award after Bobby Orr is an insult to Orr's defensive prowess. Orr was as good at his end of the ice as he was at the other. He was the best defenseman on both sides of the puck, and that defensive skill would be de-emphasized by having such a one dimensional award.

I would call it the Paul Coffey Trophy.

I don't think Sweeney envisioned him needing season ending knee surgery

If only there was a way to review a players complete injury history and on top of it be the player’s employer for several years and have intimate knowledge of their health :sarcasm:

Love this hit by Trouba! Deslauriers is trying to pick a fight with him and in the mean while Trouba continues to play hockey and just rocks Hathaway.

He will have fun tomorrow, that's for sure. He can go about his business without even worrying about being challenged anyway, or getting hit back.
