Pastrnak & Swayman could use the rest

The All Star game used to be amazing and around 1990 became a clown show

the only one I can remember watching since Lemieux & Gretzky was the John Scott fiasco
I agree they killed it. I never watch it. Catch highlights of the skills competition later online.

Went to the 1986 all-star game. It was in Hartford.

4-3 OT win for the East. Trottier in OT from Bossy. Great game.

Grant Fuhr and Mario Gosselin were both spectacular as the starting goalies.

Only went to one All-Star game, it was at MSG in 93 or 94 right on the blueline a few rows up.

I think back to the players then . . .just wow. It was certainly a high-scoring affair.

OK, now I just have to bring up my best memory of an ASG - 2012 in Ottawa. I won the trip, we were treated like royalty. Saw Chara break the slapshot record at 108.8, met Gary Bettman, would have kicked him now that I have matured...also:

Met Blades (see SC ring) and beat up the Canucks mascot.

Since I pay for ESPN+, I should take advantage of more often.

I threw Senators Avalanche on.

You caught a good game. Same old Sens - great offense, but their D folded like a house of cards once the Avs really started turning the screws and they faded out pretty bad.

Now watching the Leafs really work over the Oilers. 2-0 to Toronto half way through but of course no Leafs lead is safe.

Edit: and of course the Oilers come back to win 4-2. Leafs gotta leaf.

Oilers slide one into the empty net, Leafs come up empty, they're reeling a bit. Edmonton, on the other hand, has won eleven in a row.

I think that's four in a row where the Leafs blow a 2 goal (or more) lead. One point out of possible eight! 🤣
