If the Bruins end up in the most likely scenario of drafting at 6, I’m starting to think that all of Hagens, Frondell and Desnoyers are gone.

All the teams in front of the Bruins need a center. I don’t know who takes Martone over a center for all the same reasons the Bruins wouldn’t take Martone over Hagens, Desnoyers, and Frondell.

If it’s between OBrien and Martone at 6, you have to pause a second on blindly taking a C, right?

Martone will and should go top 5. Guessing the Bruins will choose between Desnoyers, O'Brien and McQueen

I take O'Brien and don't lose sleep over it. If they take Martone, I don't lose sleep over it either.

The likely scenario is we drop a spot to 6. Schaefer, Misa, Hagens, Frondell, Martone or Desnoyers are six players. Don’t f-ck it up. No reaching allowed.

People saying we should pass on Martone’s combo of finish, size and nastiness is a head scratcher for me. I’d gladly take him there.

Back in November Craig Button (also cautiously known as Buttons the Clown at times) had Martone ranked first. If we get him at 6 you run with that.

Every year multiple teams in the top 10 take players ranked a few spots higher by consensus in mocks. I expect this year will be no different.

Schaefer and Misa look likely to go in top two. But as for the next three, I think it’s anyone’s guess. I think the only guy I’d be truly surprised to make it thru that group is Hagens. But I’d be willing to bet good money that either he, Desnoyers or Frondell will be there at 6. Some team is going to surprise a bit they always do.

This is the only concerning thing I have seen about Martone. Don't like Buttons the clown.

Curious to hear the Dom’s take.

Not going to put words in his mouth, but I remember Dom saying his motor never turns off....uber competitive which is a double edge sword in regards to this kid....he kind of faded down the stretch likely because he exhausted himself .... personally, I'm pro Martone...but he might have to learn when to dial it back in order to be effective for a full season

Button certainly likes the kid. Has him ranked above some big names. Have you watched him this year?

Nope, I only made it to a few games this year ...but from ranking reviews he sounds like a perfect Bruin ...my only concern is how his game translates against big boys...currently he is a bit of a giant amongst boys and can physically dominate them at will with puck protection and in the paint ...won't be so easy against at the next level...but high motor and compete aren't something you can teach ... I like this kid but as with most prospects, comes with a risk

Very interesting ranking. DOM is Button this far off? This list has me excited about the bruins landing a good prospect even if the bruins drop to 6.

My take is you always wait until the end of the season.

It's foolish to go off lists that are outdated. Things change as you can see.

As I said before, the only reason Central Scouting releases it's list in mid April is because GM's want the list by the end of the season.

I have never, and will never understand monthly rankings.

His play style reminds me of Mitten.
