I've always said that they should penalize leaving one's skates to block a shot/pass. Would open the game up so much more and actually reduce injuries.
And if you lie down to try to block a pass, and the other player skates into you, it should a penalty for interference or tripping. Dmen shouldn't be allowed to just block off a huge portion of the ice that you could potentially use to get a scoring chance.

So basically a broken f***ing hand lol
f***s sakes our luck man
I mean when you purposefully put your self in front of a slap shot by an NHLer who works out for a living and who is using the highest technology composite stick to take the shot, AND you swivel your body such that you leave it to chance as to where the shot will hit you, you're not exactly giving yourself the highest of odds of coming away without a broken bone. Quite the opposite. By repeatedly doing that, it's only a matter of time before you get a serious injury. At least it's not his throat, head, liver or spleen that is hurt?

Shaping up to be another high total man games lost. Dach, Guhle, and Savard now. All three are key pieces too. Hopefully luck changes when the Habs are out of rebuild mode.

So far the Savard loss has come with unexpected positives in disguise. Kovacevic has excelled in a bigger role. Barron has established himself as a top 6 with perhaps as high as top pairing upside. Lindstrom, may be a 7, but when he gets in the lineup you dont notice him at all for all the wrong reasons, unlike Wideman.

So sounds like Dvo can play saturday vs the Blues?
Comes off LTIR but Dach and Savard go on LTIR and gives the has more cap space again?
No need to place anyone on LTIR once Dvo is activated, Habs will still have plenty of cap space from Price's LTIR. A forward will have to be sent back down or traded thought.
