No they don’t. They don’t play with one anymore. unless someone falls into their lap there isn’t a guy. They will just develop Jones and/or Bajcetic which is fine. We aren’t going to see another Fabinho type there. Those days are gone. Maybe if the market goes back but that’s not happening either. I think This team going to start being very 442 maybe 4231 ish going forward. I think the fact that Szoboszlai is excellent deeper changes things A LOT too
Until they have a proper dominant DM, they will need one. If you take a look at City, their current most important player is Rodri. Endo is filling that role for now, who knows what will happen next summer or the year after. That being said, I do not think Klopp will go after one unless he feels it is a necessity.

We aren’t City. Yeah they have Rodri but no one else does. LFC isn’t beating City by trying to be City. They have to find their own way. I’d rather try and develop a guy for that role/play without one than play going rates on pure 6s. No one that is worth it is coming. They need a different kind of player there now. The Fabinho days are over. Endo isn’t even filling that role. He’s a utility guy; which is fine. LFC isn’t depending on Endo. Endo also only cost like 10-15m because they dont value that position anymore. He is a specialist to close out games and play midweeks as a backup. That’s fine. It’s not like they are going to pay Bruno G’s 100m release clause. Tchouameni isn’t coming. They have their own young guys. What’s the point of paying 80m on a guy like Doucoure who isn’t worth it and then you have to make a big time commit there. Doesn’t make sense

Rodri plays with the ball much more than a typical destroyer DM. They can get by with what they have.

I would like one, but I rather spend money on defenders
Rodri also might be the best player in the PL right now regardless of position. It’s a fools errand to chase trying to get a Rodri and I think they realized this after trying and failing. Definitely need defenders though (although I kind of liked Jones at RB but that’s another story). I don’t see it with Quansah but he will always have that assist against Leicester. Defensive depth is the weakness right now

We didn’t even make it to october for both of Chilwell and Reece to be injured simultaneously

I knew Liverpool would be good. They have brought in very good players and spent a good amount to do it and its showing. Helps that they have a super manager in Klopp. I had predicted them winning the league and looks like they will be in the mix at the very least.

8 matches on Saturday, only one on Sunday, I hate European and pointless League Cup football.

Might as well come up with a system that doesn't include wingbacks.

There were pre-season games I believe where the Chelsea CBs and Fernandez were making long diagonals to fullbacks pushing up......they haven't done that at all this season. I think it's the way Poch has them set up, the fullbacks aren't getting used effectively when healthy.

And he still has a healthy Maatsen on the left.

In the preseason that was to our wingers. Our fullbacks were playing inverted in possession to cover the midfielders pushing further up.

Clearly the first operation wasn’t a success. For a guy who struggles defending against pacy this could be catastrophic for him.

You're dumb. It's quite obviously tongue in cheek. We're 7 games into Ange's era. No one seriously expects us to win anything this season.
I wasn't only referencing your post. All of the spurs fans have been getting smug after 7 games, which is something Arsenal fans get called out for after a full season.

We aren't saying they will remotely compete for the title, but I sure as hell am proud of the squad and Postecoglou so far. Because on here pretty much everybody was talking shit about the team, Postecoglou, Maddison, et cetera. A certain someone said they would finish no higher than 11th even with Kane. Obviously it's still early but so far they are proving everybody wrong.

It looks like it is shaping up to be whoever can get results away at other competing clubs will be successful in the season.
